    Xmas Saver!
Is there a thread or something on here where I can find a bunch of hamper ideas? We really need to save some money this year! Also, suggestions for somewhere cheap (preferably online, as I don't have a car) to buy baskets for the gifts? Thanks guys :)

Some fantastic Hamper ideas thanks, Im very inspired,, so much so that Im off to sort out my pressie cupboard and find stuff to put together, just a note, I got three rolls of the cellophane from e bay last year with every intention to do hampers for birthdays etc. but got waylaid somehow and they are still in my pressie cupboard so will make use of it this year, very determined.

Was at Mr T yesterday but the Robertson mince meat was back up to £1.39 :( plenty of time for another offer elsewhere before Christmas though so I will keep my eye out! Going to make some sweet sleighs this year, found them on Pinterest so have added them to my ideas board! Need 4 finger kitkats for the sleigh base and they're on 4 for £1 at sainsbos so got a packet, I'll probably go back and get a couple more when I've decided how many I'm making. Really want to try making my own stockings this year, saw a sewing machine on eBay nearby but missed out on it as I thought perhaps I'm being too adventurous, will look out for another nearby cheapie and pluck up the courage to make the jump!

Those sleighs sound good, are you allowed to post the link?
  • I am starting from this week to spend/save £5 per week on christmas grocery items. I always make something for everyone for christmas, this year I will be doing felted accorns. I do feel that I also have to buy a little gift to go with homemade items as everyone knows I have made them so I feel a bit tight if I don't get anything else, but I only spend a little so it still works out cheaper.
  • BB's Christmas this year, will be exactly like last year's.

  • Yes, through choice.
