    I was in home bargains getting a few supplies for a little tea party tomorrow, and bagged two little transformer cars for DS stocking. I have lots for DD already, so was pleased to find these although I was looking for Lego bits too. I will keep my eye out!

    In sports direct yesterday, DS was asking for an umbrella, they had Disney ones and they were £5 - I didn't tell him I'd bought them for £1.99 last week ;) they might get them before Christmas, or might not. They are only for playing out in the garden with, mine are a bit young to get the staying dry thing yet...

    I wonder how much the Lego advent calendars are going to be this year...

    For anyone who is interested (and may have some time to spare:)) - the Food Network TV channel is having a Christmas weekend this Sat/Sun (7/8 Sept).

    Delia, Barefoot Contessa and some unwrapped thrown in - my idea of heaven. I think I may have to drug hubby on Saturday night to secure the remote for myself - or maybe I should just set the planner to record it:D

    Full juicy details of the schedule here

    Thank you SO much! I love Delia and Ida :D Yay!

  • Going to bake a Christmas cake this weekend, already looking for gifts. Liking forward to reading lots of tips:money: particularly like the Irish cream liqueur recipe at the moment :beer:
  • Tesco are doing half price wines with extra 25% off for each case. We all know Tesco 's tricks with "half price" but there are some bargains to be had. Online x :beer:
  • I started 'just looking' at clearance sales a couple of times a week in places like Argos......online you can pick up some amazing bargains if you are lucky......so far during August i managed to bag;
    An electric scooter for my son........its one of the higher end of the market ones that gets up to speeds of approx 15mph and retails for around £500 on amazon and was £349 in Argos before the sale, i bought the very last one for £112
    A gaming chair again for my son, works with all games consoles and ipod, mp3 and many tv's/stereo systems.......retails for £99.99 and i bought it for £34.99 so i have stashed in my loft £450 worth of goods that i paid £147 for. Bargains!! ; )
    I have a list of smaller items to pick up today, stocking fillers really but most of them are less than half price so worth spending an hour looking at the clearance list i reckon...........
    Good Luck to all bargain hunters............................................
  • I love the Argos clearance.... check it often as it changes all the time :D

    Me too, have picked up quite a lot from Argosa sale this year, it seems to be on all the time with stock changing every week.

    I even have the shortcut tool to see what is specifically in my local store on sale.

    And instore. I got 6 regular choices for us last night, full price would have been £54, I paid £24.75 after the reduction and the 25% discount. Very :money:
