Ryanair looking4parking.com rip off

I booked a flight on the Ryanair website on the 4th May for the 10 th May and managed to navigate away from the maze of compulsory purchases they try to trap you with, and booked parking with Ryanairlooking4.parking.com for the sum of £16.99. I received a confirmation email with directions postcode etc in plenty of time a few days before the flight and printed this off to take with me.

Upon arrival the car park attendant had no record of my booking and refused to allow me to park. This resulted in me parking elsewhere and incurring a cost of £55.00. I have contacted Ryanair and they basically take no responsibilty for what they deem as `third partie` organisations. I contacted looking4parking.com directly and they wrongly ` assumed` I did not get the confirmation email and said I should of contacted their offices to request it before i travelled.

Obviously Anthony ` senior customer relations advisor ` could not be bothered to read my email properly, so I have replied enclosing the confirmation email. Any ideas on recovering costs from these rip off merchants ?

Thanks

Edd

Not compulsory if you avoided them

Your problem appears to be with looking4parking, not Ryanair? Could you not have called the former when you arrived at the car park and discovered the problem?

Foolish me, their I was on the Ryanair site booking a flight, paying for the flight when Ryanair offer a tick box to include airport parking which I ticked as seemed like a reasonable thing to do at the time. The confirmation email clearly states " Ryanairlooking4parking.com" apparently I cant post the link.

Of course I called the number given on the booking form that states " on arrival one of our staff will be there to greet you " the reality is somewhat different, a voice call button on the entrance barrier where a freindly chappy said " no record of the booking on his system, no entry" ......

Is it worth going down the small claims?

    Regards

Were you not able to refer to your booking e-mail when he claimed that there was no booking?

Will be interested in the response.
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Thanks for the replies, im a tad miffed as it just seems every which way you turn in the UK you get ripped off. Ryanair shirking the responsibility and no reply from " ryanairlooking4parking.com" after I sent proof of booking. £55 quid is a lot of money to park a car, I think Ryanair and their...... unafilliated `ryanairlooking4parking` are pretty poor really.

Thanks for replies will update if hear anything from them

It's also true. There is no major rip off culture in the UK and it's rather tedious constantly being told there is.

As you've been told, your problem is with looking4parking.com not Ryanair. As you've only contacted them once about it, I don't know why you're so keen to try and sue them for such a tiny sum - particularly as though you'd certainly get £16.99 back, I doubt they would have to pay the £55 you spend elsewhere. Wait for them to come to a decision and then decide what you want to do.

This is just unfortunate. When we travel, we always try and use local independent car parks by the airport (Manchester) because they are more reliable and more understanding. Ask around your friends to see if they recommend any.
