Been in contact with Citizens Advice and they believe that it is a mis-representation of the role and the company has a case to answer.

  • In the first two years you can be let go for pretty much any reason, as long as it is not discriminatory in nature.

    I don't think they have any rights here.

    In the first two years you can be let go for pretty much any reason, as long as it is not discriminatory in nature of a protected characteristic such as sex, gender, race etc.

    I don't think they have any rights here.

    She will need to sign on for JSA, but be aware that her claim could be sanctioned. There is nothing unreasonable in their request for her to do some personal care.

    why could she not do personal care. come on really going into the caring sector if there a jobs need doing it has to be done. probably right of the bosses to get rid.

    Is she could not do care due to disability or something she may have a case.

    true but. thats not mentioned. if a career is off sick and the client needs care then it needs doing. its really a no brainier.

    I would think that from the job title she expected and was possibly contracted to do an admin and management role. Imagine if that role was in a garage, if the mechanic went sick would you expect her to get under a car?
