All sorted! Thanks so much for all the help, everyone.
I picked up a 2 gb "scandisc" for £19.00.
Last night I stuck my writing on it and then stuck it on my laptop. Worked a treat, no problem.
Also put a little movie on there - it saves really quickly doesn't it? Transferred it to the laptop, but it only plays the sound. I remember I had this with my main PC - I think I just need to download DIVX.....
Anyway, thanks again!

Oh, when I tried to load up DIVX6 it comes up saying it is not compatible with Millenium. Anyone got any ideas? I suppose I could download an earlier version?

Try using; http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/ or http://nic.dnsalias.com/xvid.html It's a MUCH smaller download.
When installing, allow it to play all types.0 -
You could download K-Lite which includes pretty much all available current Codecs.
