I recently ordered from this company - very good prices and quick delivery.

Same here. Anything over £8 for a full set is daylight robbery!

What car are you buying them for?

In any Halfords branch there is a book, to look up compatible wipers to cars...

My Celica, at ££9.95 per wiper (only neaded the rear), (Bosch), the compatible was posted as same as Porsche, Mercedes, etc etc...

So how you get £50...? Even a main dealer wouldn't have that much cheek, would they?

Hahaha - Sytner Sutton Coldfield quoted £77, yes £77 :eek::eek: for blades for my X5 when it went in for service recently.. I declined. The current wipers are fine and don't need replacing anyway!!!

Good spot. I can get Bosch blades for my Mondy for £21 for all three from them. Much better than Halfords. Thanks.

The ones I looked up there are only a few pence cheaper than Halfords.

The same brand are on ebay for about two thirds of the price, and others for half that.

Wipers are rarely a distress purchase, so get along to your local factors and get a set there and keep them in the boot. If one tears on the car you really don't want to be in the lap of the postal/delivery gods hoping the right ones will turn up.

Agree prices in Halfords, as for much of what they sell, are quite over priced. I used to buy cheap(er) ones unbranded from Wilkos and such but then tried buying a know brand pair online and found they did last 2/3 times as long. Now I do that every time. But as said shops often rely on you having to buy them in a emergency and such charge over the odds.

    A MK2 Ford Focus:

    Front Set - £39.99
    Rear - £9.99

Yes, they are the Bosch ones but the Halfords own brand are about £45.

    Thanks for the site.

For our Toyota our blades in Halfords were cheaper buying Bosch than Halfords own but they were half the price at the Toyota main agent.

My front wiper set is £50 in Halfords! Well £49.99 but that's really expensive.

I've found the main dealers to be decent in wipers and bulbs to be honest. I haven't bought anything for my current car, but in my last car I bought wipers out of there and they were perhaps only a couple of quid more expensive than eBay but cheaper than most sites.
