Pet hates when travelling

Conversely, these can be a huge source of amusement. I have recently seen two corkers. One complained about the noise of trucks driving up and down the road outside the hotel during the local, well-publicised truck festival.
My favorite was one that gave a hotel one-star as they'd had trouble getting to sleep due to the noise of two raccoons getting it on outside the window :rotfl:
I love reading TA reviews. Some recent favourites:
"There was no hand towel in the bathroom. I was forced to dry my hands on a bath towel"
"I booked this hotel because it was in the middle of the nightlife area but I couldn't get to sleep when I went to bed at 10pm because of the noise."
"The hotel [in Italy] didn't have any British TV channels. I was unable to watch my soaps. It ruined my holiday."0 -
Most of mine are covered but to throw in a couple more.
1) Bare chested men on holiday drinking in bars and especially where food is served. Very unhygenic with risk of odours and sweat dripping onto your lunchtime meal potentially ending up with possible food poisoning.
2) Obviously very healthy people who insist on taking mobiltity scooters everywhere. It's Usually one member of a couple. You can't tell me that they both need them? Then you usually get one of them with a chip on their shoulder thinking they have a devine right to ride anywhere recklessly trying to run you down and then you end up taking evasive steps to avoid them.0 -

The tandem scooters were a new sight for me last year, they sort of reminded me of a couple of roller-coaster carriages that had broken free and were hurtling down the prom0 -

Wow you must have a small stomach if you have that for lunch.
As I said, it was already on my plate. If I take one croissant in total and decide to have it laterinstead of it being thrown away, hardly stealing?0 -

Hotel last year was stopping people doing this and making them give the food back. Fruit, rolls, meat & cheeses. They really made a scene about it as well and embarrassed the guests. Good on them! It's B& B, NOT & all the food you can steal from the buffet!
You should only take what you need, then top up if you didn't get enough, not overload your plate.Noli nothis permittere te terere

You weren't taking the plate as well were you?0 -
On P&O cruises people were openly taking plates of food out of the restaurants. Of course on a cruise you can get food almost 24 hours a day anyway, so it would be a bit pointless stopping them.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Feeding the seagulls perhaps, or the Asian staff on the lower lower decks?0 -

They were probably taking it back to their cabin for an al fresco lunch on the balcony.
It beats playing 'hunt the free table' in the [STRIKE]rugby scrum [/STRIKE]err buffet restaurant.
All of my pet hates are cruise related but if I start I may never finish, so I'll just leave it at some of my fellow passengers.

As the saying goes, "when the seagulls follow the cruise liner..."0
