I would not have told the policeman it was fake. He may "accidently" slip it out.

Or spread that rumour and fit a genuine one up there now.

You should fit another camera just to annoy them.

If you're outside your house a lot, doing gardening etc., and you see clients come in and out, be friendly towards them, smile and say "Good morning/afternoon", "lovely weather" etc., if your neighbours clients want to be discreet, they wouldn't want anyone talking to them (even if you are being friendly).

Hopefully your over friendliness will put them off, and think you're a nosey neighbour who knows something (especially if you smile), which may discourage future visits to your neighbour.

I would be telling them that they can do a runner.

They can do nothing about it.

Is that neighbour "in" with your other neighbour? Might have been encouraged to complain by your other neighbour? What grounds did your second neighbour give for complaining?

On my profile pic, I started off with a picture of Voyager to see if anyone spotted it and mentioned it - it took 6 months!!!

Voyager was a great series. I was quite proud of myself as I built the model from scratch. Then I ruined it by breaking one of the warp nacelles. Doh!

It would appear that the neighbours are 'in' together so your assumption may be right. The officer was very vague about the 2nd compliant. Just said voyeurism.

I might just do that! Stir the hornets nest just a bit more.

tbh I bet the picture quality on most cctv isn't good enough to identify anyone more than a few metres away, but the neighbours have probably seen too many films where you can zoom in to minute details from miles away.

If you really wanted some fun.... get a zooming in sound and play it outside when the neighbours come out/go in. That'll make them very paranoid!
