One thing im right about is the fact she doesn't have me on ignore. I know this because she has complained about posts I have made which have been "unquoted".

Google Navigation uses the same logic as Google Maps so type your journey into here:

It does suggest using the M6 Toll but also gives A452 as an alternative. But it reckons the M6 Toll is 3 minutes quicker which is why it sent you that way.
