Really really fed up with Outlook (Hotmail)!!!!

I've been using hotmail/windows live mail for many years since I first even started using a computer back when I was 11 or 12, now I'm 20 and still using it but wouldn't recommend using hotmail or windows live mail as it is called nowadays. I'm slowly making the transition to gmail as I have an android samsung s4 and email seems much more simpler, clearer and easier to send and using the gmail service is much more quicker and reliable in my opinion.0

I am having exactly the same problemds and i'm losing the will to live with it!. I have been trying to send an attachment for over an hour now!!!Ever since the forced changeover to Outlook from Hotmail - I have become increasingly frustrated
It seems whenever there is an attachment I have problems with replying, forwarding or sometimes even opening mail
Several times a day I will get the same message:
We can't connect to Outlook at the moment. Please try again later.
I have tried all the solutions suggested by MS - like clearing cache etc etc
Nothing seems to work
I managed to work around the forced Skype for Messenger
Is there any way to work round this problem?V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
I found a slight improvement to it today by removing all the linked accounts
(in account settings>permissions>manage linked accounts)
I don't get the error as often, but still enough to make it really annoying! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Why did you do this?
Was it suggested somewhere?0 -
I noticed it was taking ages to load the bits at the side so i tried to switch of the messenger/fb sign ins to see if it made a difference, then I found I had twitter and linkedin etc all linked in so I just removed them, seems to have made it a bit betterThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Fair play
Have you moved over to from Messenger to Skpe?0 -
in the last 5 years most of my msn folk have moved to fb messenger anyway so it's not a big issue for me to not sign into eitherThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That's actually not a bad idea you know. There's no point left in having yahoo/msn/windows live/aim messengers no more. Facebook is probably the only messenger service you probably will need since everyone except me is on it.0 -

Had the same problem today. I have deleted Skype from my computer and it works ok now. I did notice an email - couldn't open any- that said Skype has been updated.
Sick of this new outlook rubbish, so I might follow Jnelhams advice and go over to gmail.0
