Unlock a Huawei E5776 EE Mifi?

I unlocked it using an 8-digit code but when I insert any other sim card i.e. THREE, it displays NO SERVICE on the screen and no signal bars either. I tried using T-Mobile sim as well but result stays the same. When used EE sim, it started working again. It doesn't say INVALID SIM when I use any sim card but doesn't show any service at all. I tried it on two modems and both had the same problem. Any help regarding that would be appreciated. Thanks0

How do you know that it is unlocked? Have you entered the Profiles for the new SIM and made them the Default connection via the web interface?
Why have you two modems?0 -
yes. i did manually entered the apn settings of three but problem remained the same. after numerous tries, i started working but the strange thing is it doesn't detect three's sim automatically nor it connects. sometimes it detects but to connect it to the internet, i have to go into the profiles - just click it and it starts working. funny but...
i purchased a few from auctions so i can resell then. sold them all apart from one which kept on showing no service even with ee sim after unlocking. mistakenly updated it to russian frmware and if i can't find any stock firmware in english, i will throw it away.
p.s. they are unlocked else three's sim would not have worked with them.0 -

Hi All. I took out a contract EE SIM after reading on MSE main site. 5GB for £11 per month. Then I got a PAYG Huwawei E5776s mifi for £70 from EE with 2GB included, thinking I'd be able to swap the SIMs over as they're the same provider. Sadly, it seems the mifi is locked to the SIM it came with. If I go into the EE software, the original SIM phone number is displayed. I've been on to DC-unlocker and bought the credits to unlock it but it detects it and says that it's unlocked already. But it will not connect to the internet. Can anyone help, please? It would be greatly appreciated.0
