Tesco Mobile.

Well, I saw another happy story posted just now and thought I would do the same.

Tesco Mobile are absolutely brilliant. They don't offer bells and whistles on their contracts, but what they do is more than adequate.

I rang up today after being declined by Vodafone.. Credit issue? I think not, I'm squeeky. Anyway, I rang up and asked if I could upgrade ( a month early but nonetheless ) The guy immediately said 'I'm feeling generous, why not' Upgraded me there and then, answered every question about this new 'refresh' plan, same as o2 and away we go.

New phone delivered next week with the same good customer service they always provide:T

I would say that you are very easily pleased.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Have you downloaded the Tesco app OP? Pretty good for keeping track of usage. Tracks month to month too, whereas Onavo tracks the last 30 days.

bcc212 - Tesco mobile allow their pay monthly contract customers to upgrade to a new handset and contract, 27 days before the end date of their existing contract.

I have to say I think Tesco Mobile are OK too. Signed up for a contract for my son (13) at christmas, because they are the only company who properly do a capped tariff.
It works brilliantly for us. The lad likes to watch Youtube videos on his way home from school on the tram. Now he's learning that once his 500mb are gone, they are gone (so he's starting to budget his data usage to last the whole month, a good lesson to learn).
I don't have to worry about him accidentally running up big bills cos it can't happen, but the deal (£7.50 per month for 250mins, 5000 texts & 500mb) is far better value than we got PAYG - and we got a half decent smartphone thrown in free (certainly good enough for a 13 year-old).

Furthermore, the couple of queries I've had about the account have been dealt with reasonably well - far easier than my previous experiences with 02 & Voda.

When my 02 contract runs out, I'll deffo be looking at Tesco's offerings.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

    I have got to agree.

I was dubious at changing to Tesco as I've always been with the big names before, but it was the best I have ever done. You get Tesco Clubcard points thrown in to boot - which is a bonus as I don't really shop at the stores.

I have a monthly 500 mins / 5000 texts and 1Gb of data, £10 a month. Mins and texts are well enough for me, data is okay but would always like more. Never ran out though.

Their App is good (like the O2 one) and have noticed they've finally got round to being able to manage Clubcard properly online.

I don't think I'll be swapping any time soon as this is far sufficient for my needs and will encourage my partner go to with Tesco when hers runs out in October.

I agree too, joined a year ago from PAYG and haven't had any problems.
The only negative is the phone - I have put the sim into a different phone and would like pass the phone that came with the contract to my father who is on the ovivo network but can't get the phone unlocked. (So he is just using his old fashioned Nokia with that just now.)
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Why can't you get it unlocked? I asked recently about unlocking son's phone. They have told me it'll cost £20 to unlock if we want to do that in contract period. Not a particularly high fee in my estimation (its free to get it unlocked at contract end).

In your shoes I'd ring them and ask again.

Family perks isn't the best in setting up. Tesco admit this and are stumped every time I ask them so sort it out for me. I have 4 contracts and none of them have family perks because they were set up as 4 different accounts in-store.

How do you access 2 x bills from a single account? Thanks in advance.
