Unfortunately, I can't really do too much re the job situation....i need to keep head down and try not to quit.
Roll on the end of college (6 more teaching weeks) so I can relax then its on to the final year !!!

Phoned M&D with free weekend mins.

Afternoon all.
Hope someone has some sunshine as its poured down here all day.:(
I'm not feeling brilliant today - have a lovely combination of hormonal female stuff, hayfever and a cold/sore throat. On my day off too.
Not done very much as a result but here's what has happened...- Walked dog twice so far (not fun in the rain for either of us)
- Put dry washing away and tidied round a bit
- Having stuff from the fridge for tea to use up fresh stuff
- Popped to the big shopping centre to try to find something to wear to a do next Friday - no luck
- Bought a bargain pair of jeans for £10
- Bought a few bits of essential make up on 3 for 2 and some shop brand cold and flu tablets
- Will finish the week's meal plan later
- Checked bank
- Read library book - will start new one later
- Staying in curled up on the sofa watching telly
- Get packed lunch and clothes ready for work tomorrow
- Resisted buying lunch out

Hi everyone,
Quite sunny earlier, but now it's really dropped cold. Today I have:
*Got a winter cardi out again, as there's no way the heating or fire is going on in the middle of May!
*Planted out my little chard plants (free seeds) & covered them with my home-made cloches made from cut-down plastic bottles as the pigeons & sparrows around here seem to be on a permanent scoff-fest at the moment.
*Mr f planted all our potatoes. Trying a blight resistent variety this year which apparently did well in our area last year, so we will hopefully get a bigger crop for our money.
*Planted up a trough of flowers to go outside the front of the house entirely from stuff I've grown from free seed.
*Managed to visit village garden centre & buy only 1 growbag & 3 bags of compost (on offer, cheaper than the variety we usually buy) despite having to walk though scrummy farm shop to reach garden centre. Started weakening around the biscuits/cakes but thought about next Saturday's weigh-in & found a bit of extra resolve!
*Did a few surveys.
*Checked all my ebay sales.......hoped to make a minimum of £30 to buy camping gear, but have so far made over £66. What a nice surprise! Will defo be enough for double airbed & pump & hopefully a bit towards another priority item. Relisted stuff that didn't sell as free listings this weekend.
*Read a lovely free magazine which a friend gave me yesterday.
*Noted down energy meter readings ready to look properly at the figures tomorrow.
@welshwoofer - I do sympathise with the female hormonal stuff.....I know how vile it can make you feel. On top of everything else, it makes me feel like I've got flu' but without the sniffy/sneezy symptoms.

Been missing as been looking after a family member for a while and struggling with life, work, careering balance for the last few weeks.
If anyone has a Pine Cone invite going, I would really like to join and would be grateful for the invite.
Need to get back on the DFW wagon now, and spent today getting myself ready to get back on tomorrow. Going to allocate a DFW hour every morning as I am currently getting up about an hour earlier.APR NSD - 0/10

Hi All
Am I last again? Anyway, lots going on for everyone by the sounds of it.
@Determined New MS - Its a tricky one isnt it, so you'd literally be starting tommorow if you do ring your new boss? I suppose the things I'd be thinking about are, can you afford another week off? If you dont have the week now, when will you next be able to take holiday, and are you going to miss out on anything you've planned in the coming week if you do start the job early? Good luck with whatever you choose.
Things I am pleased about this weekend.
1. Trade has finally picked up. A good weekend on all fronts.
2. Had a major wobble last night, felt really sad about the fact I cant remember the last time I went out (probably last July), really fancied a nice burger and a glass of wine somewhere. But, thankfully, I was able to really think about the actual benefits of eating what we already had in, and being grateful for time with my family without a fancy night. Money saved = £40+
3. Paid for sons swimming course in cash, so all done for the next 10 weeks.
4. Found a steak pie for only £1.35 on yellow label in Tesco, reduced from £4.50. That will be our tea tonight.
5. Husband spent today at another families house with our son so zero spend, and he really enjoyed catching up with his friend.
13 days till OH gets paid again, we are over the major bills for the month, for which I am very thankful.
Good luck with MS this week everyone.

The end is in sight at least! I know what you mean about the job situation, just remember it's not forever & take some time for yourself when you can.La_escocesa wrote: »Hi everyone :hello:

Hope your OH passed his grading
I feel exactly the same way when I think how much we spend on debt repayments each month, but I try to remember that by next year that money can go towards ourselves & savings so we can enjoy ourselves again but on our terms with our money, & not wasting loads in interest paying for it afterwards.:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
