Had issues registering with my ordinary email which has 2 dots in the name side of the email. Luckily I have the email without dots too and it accepted that. However, the register webpage's error didn't tell me that it just said "Something went wrong". Brilliant web programming - NOT!
When I did eventually get registered and logged in and look at the Shell voucher it has no bar code on it!!!! Anyone else experienced that? The out-of-country call centre is useless for help.
I tried using IE and Chrome as browsers and each has its own problems. Not impressed with the website at all. Barclays should have had someone check it out well before launch!

I have tried several times to register but just get a message 'We're sorry, but something went wrong.'. When I followed the link from Martin's weekly email I got an email with what purports to be a voucher (including a bar code) but it actually looks like a set of instructions on how to register and claim the voucher.

I got the same problem registering. Help desk/call centre couldn't duplicate the problem. See my entry for how I got over the registering. Does your email have multiple dots in the name part?

As it happens I registered using an email with 2 dots in the name side of the email (first.middle.surname@gmail.com) fine . . . maybe it's down to something else? Rubbish error messages don't help mind you . .

The "out of country" call centre (Service Centre as they call it) is in Teeside - not abroad . .

BTW - the bar code is on the actual voucher - not on the offer page itself - if you go to the "My vouchers" part of the site it's there, or it should be emailed to you too . . . (mine was) . .

Anyone 'bought' anything other than the Shell offer?

I used it for 5p a litre off at my local shell. They accepted the voucher without any problem. So it gets a thumbs up from me!

Going to ask a (maybe) daft question here :D but do you have to use a Barclaycard to pay for the fuel? (we have a Barclay card but tend to use another card for purchases).

Edit - Not so daft I guess just seen this in the FAQ's:

    About bespoke offers

    Q. What is bespoke offers? bespoke offers is a new service for everyone from Barclaycard where you can find offers that are bespoke for you.
We’ve teamed up with both local and national merchants to bring you a wide range of offers. They could be discount vouchers you pay for or free offers, but the offers we inform you about will be relevant to you.

    Q. Do I need to have a Barclaycard to use bespoke offers? No, anyone over the age of 18 and resident in the UK can use bespoke.

This is what it says in the email attachment I got - despite having what looks like a barcode it seams more like an offer to me rather than the actual voucher as it does not have the usual instructions to the retailer.
    About this Offer
Save 5p per litre off any fuel with this offer from
    Shell.*
It won’t cost you anything to get your voucher - simply
click the Get Offer button, print your voucher and
hand it to the cashier when you pay for your fuel.
You can download more than one voucher and you'll
be able to use each one on separate visits before 31
    May 2013.
    How to use it
    • Once you’ve clicked ‘get offer’ your voucher will be
stored for you in your ‘My vouchers’ section.
    • To access your voucher, please register your e-mail
address with us after which you will be able to access
and print the voucher from your ‘My vouchers’.
    • Please print your voucher in full including the
barcode and have it ready to present to the cashier
    when paying for your fuel.

No - you can use whatever card you wish . . .

That's all it is - just print the voucher and take it to the till when you pay - they just scan the barcode and the discount is applied.

It's a shame you have to actually print it though - would've been nice if the code could be scanned from the app, but then I guess that's down to Shell . . .

Thanks, seems rather odd that I now have the voucher but can't actually register but I will give it a go and treat it as a bonus as I need to fill up and would be going to Shell anyway.

I can't seem to register as it only accepts 3 digits in the D.O.B Year box so get the same message (to get the offer I clicked on the link to bespoke and just entered an email address (no password) before looking at the offers!).

Seems (from Pheebs67) that you just print the Voucher from the PDF attachment as use that (does seems a bit confusing though as it keeps referring to the how to use it but am assuming this IS the voucher (pdf). We are travelling this weekend and if convenient to use Shell we will try this voucher/printed code.

    • Once you’ve clicked ‘get offer’ your voucher will be

stored for you in your ‘My vouchers’ section.

    I've been Money Tipped!
so is this usable at any shell garage as on the bespoke website it only see,ms to show about 3 petrol stations when I try a search for where available??

Martins email says it is ok to use at ALL shell garages except Furniture World Service Station, Ayr, and Peartree Self Serve, Newton Abbot.

    anyone confirm this please?
