MSE News: Our 11-inch 'footlong' Subway shock: does your sub fall short?

Naw, they write it off as a Tax expense.
That's the correct MSE way.0 -
In the grand scheme of things I think I have things worth worrying about far more than the length of a subway sandwich.
Although their marketing department should probably rename it to reduce the amount of stupid people getting all high & mighty over something which is effectively nothing.:www: Progress Report :www:

But isn't the main story here the fact that Subway smells like sick?0

Sanity will prevail when we're looking at minor variations (e.g. a 100g loaf of bread weighing 99.5g), but if you're knowingly short-changing by around 10% of the amount then that's not on. No matter what your industry is.
.
your allowed 2.5% of your product to be up to 18% under the average weight on products between 50 to 100g.
That is the extreme case.
On heavier products the % allowance decreases.
Google loma service guide for weight allowance.
Though I do not think Subway declare the pack weight?0 -
It's times like this that I really do think that if the only thing you have to worry about is the length of a bloody sandwhich I wish my life was as sorted as yours. In the list of problems in my life the length of a subway sandwich ranks along "Iron Socks" in it's importance. Basically I have 1000 things to worry about before I even think that subway might be cheating me out of a whole inch.
I am also very glad that I am not strange enough to go into a subway and get out a tape measure when buying a sub.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -
Surely Subway are also breaking weights and measure rules by not selling it as a "30cm long" ?0

Grampa, what's a foot?0

Wouldn't touch Subway anyway. Local branch only has a 1 star food hygiene rating.0

What, only 11 inches long!
Nothing short of 12 will do.
Joking aside, lot's of companies short-change you, but that's not and excuse. :cool:0
