2 things to think about this morning.
1stly youngest son now has a pigeon hole at work as he lives on site This is for all of his internal post and also any external mail as the post goes to his work place on the van - a bit like messages from the front line
So he has been there a week now and each day looks at his pigeon hole and it remains empty - you would have thought that admin would have been a memo in it about uniform or a sweetie or something but no it stays empty.
Ive been doing suitable prize draws for him for a few weeks since we got his new postal address - for prizes like food, vouchers, cash, DVDs etc. I've also been doing freebies like the Halls fb one, coffee one etc.
But there does not seem to be many freebies about - not ones suitable for blokes anyway so has anyone any suggestions? I am thinking of tea, coffee, any food, blokes stuff really. Ive been up and down the freebies thread and found very little.
I am hoping to get something to arrive in the pigeon hole this week before he resorts to ordering stuff from Amazon so any suggestions would be appreciated“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. 2nd thing that occurs this morning is that I am sure Ive seen marathon 4 packs - OK Snickers as thye are now called 4 packs on the Topcash clicksnappy list and someone said they were £1 in Tosco?
If so then I could add them to the sada v Tosco list eg
Snickers 4 pack
10 shebas - do the shebas still work???
S & G
Also 4 packs of strawberry ski - again seen that mentioned last night but was it Tosco?
Think I need to study mys again and have a look at some of yesterdays published shopping lists
Bot done proper shops for a week, seem to have been hanging around sainsbobs and Morriosons“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
What really annoys me is when you have a nice receipt of say £100 of shopping and no one item suitable for Quidco or Topcash clicky snappy :mad:TrulyMadly wrote: »Just thinking about wombles and why smaller receipts yield a greater chance of APG.
Those people who have to be really careful with their money will go for the smart price and value brands which usually match on price. These are perhaps the elderly, students and low income families. The people who use cash only...... Those who maybe self scan to avoid the embarrassment of putting through a shop they cannot afford. Ironically, those people who would welcome a 50p APG. To compound the issue these are some of the very people who do not have access to computers for a variety of reasons. The elderly who may not be computer savvy or those who cannot afford the Internet or even enough money for the meter.
Then we have those at the other end of the spectrum who are more affluent, shop without a list, buy a lot of expensive branded goods and multibuys and are happy to see their receipt blow away as they are not too bothered about checking it against their credit card statement. Where alcohol is purchased, an APG is often thrown up.
And there is us lot....oh where do I start:)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Ive just done a search under the word Sheba and no one seems to have said anything about Sheba at all in this thread - is Sheba a dead duck in the water - what have our cats been eating this week ???“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Morning all, No time to catch up . It's a very wet North East at the moment and looks like it will continue all day! Whenever we get weather like this it reminds me that I need to get the ladders out and go up and fix the guttering:oAwaiting a new sig0

And I too feel I have to comment on this
Thank you Classy_Chick06 and HopePray for posting as I have been increasingly uncomfortable about your recent posts squilliondollarbaby, and this latest one really upset meYou seem to be trivialising the illness of your MiL, dismissing her 'as she is 80', and the use of the term 'coffin dodger' is highly offensive to me, and I am sure others, who have recently lost those close to us
I am particularly distressed because the way you have portrayed this situation goes totally against the grain of this caring, sharing thread and all it stands for. This has certainly kept me from posting for the last day or two, which upsets me too
Anyway, night night Elite ......... bye for now
Well said 3Dogs, squills I'm sure you didn't intend to upset anyone but you have done, and I have to include myself particularly for your comment " I think these oldies just decide they're fed up with life in old age in a lot of cases and they do indeed decide to die." Ive just done a search under the word Sheba and no one seems to have said anything about Sheba at all in this thread - is Sheba a dead duck in the water - what have our cats been eating this week ???
Answering my own questions now.
I did a search back on the last thread and Sheba seems to have stopped working about the 2nd or 3rd
So I am back to square one, some small APGs under a fiver total about £16 but nothing to buy with them
I suppose I can still do
Snickers 4 pack
strawberry ski - ???
s and G
fillers
Not done any of the crisps or pop - nobody at home to eat or drink these now
Back to studying yesterdays shopping lists“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
