To those being 'hacked'. Is it a case of your account last stating 'you last logged if from xxxxxxxx' etc ?0

Just been accused of photocopying and fraudulently using pizza voucher in sada l0wer 3arl3ly," cos I used some last week", I must be photocopying, they refused to take them, cos cash office said they were photocopies, asked to speak to someone from cash office so I could show them they had different numbers on, but they weren't allowed to leave the office !!!
Feeling a little cross about to write to Head office Asda and the pizza company
Hi, know exactly how u feel..this happened to me 2 weeks ago in Ts :mad:I was only using 2 pizza vouchers and although the till supervisor didn't say " you've photocopied them" she implied it and wouldn't let me use them. She wasn't interested in my explanation of the different qr. code...she dismissed them and walked off..wasn't a happy bunny..she also wouldn't accept Ts own pariolli moc printed from online and in colour...saying head office had sent a memo saying only allowed to accept safe coupons.I contacted Ts who are sending me a gift voucher.. :jWhich hasn't arrived yet and apparently contacted the store manager as to the way it was dealt with...haven't been back since. Used them in Morries...no problem there:T0 -
Yahoo was compromised earlier on this year I think as both my accounts got hit.
Weird thing was they were done a day apart and one of them had a strong password that wasn't easy to guess.
One account said it was accessed from Kazaksthan I think and the other Bulgaria or somewhere Eastern Europe.
Luckily for me all they did was use my account to spam others (they didn't do any harm a password change couldn't fix) and I can see other peoples accounts are still being compromised every month because I get spammy messages from people I've dealt with over the years. One of the 2 accounts is about 10 years old and was used in my selling days so there's thousands of e-mail accounts I've dealt with in that time.
I wish I had kept the link to the story, I'm sure I read that the Yahoo files with the passwords were hacked last year. So it would have be kind of BT/Yahoo to warn people then to change them. Another story said they thought it might be someone internal involved. I might be bit wrong on the details, I was desperately trying to find a way to get it all working again from Outlook so google was my friend.0 -

Hugs to your poor DD
Hopefully they realise/admit their mistake and get the over payed tax reimbursed fast.
It's probably a nice chunk of money she could do with right now by the sounds of it.
My tax code from last year was 810L or something close to it. A normal tax code ends in an L I think (I earnt about £7,000 last year as well and my PAYE was zero).
ahh thanks, your right she could do with it she was very excited when i told her she should get it all back, looking for somewhere to live near us so will have to buy a lot of stuff for home and baby,
she did say i will have to teach her some of the elites tricks:D0 -

When we tried to log on ours it said it had been suspended due to suspicious activity. That was I guess lots of our contacts receiving spam, but there is no evidence of that in our account. The only sign, which I didn't do straight away, is to use an option to see where you have logged on from, It was not an immediately obvious menu option. Then we could see the 3 Russian entries.0 -
Careful which flavours you are getting on these, in yours and my shops the cheese and ready salted compared correctly even though multibuy not showing on MSM. I did check last night too.
Zippy confirmed that steak one looks to be a trigger with the Salt & Vinegar unconfirmed. He did shop after 12pm last night, are there any shops back yet today?
I've just bought the deep ridge steak and cheese and onion...didn't have any other flavours In my store..results just after 4 pm..I chickened out of the lucozade though as every time I looked on msm it had changed..can't really justify the spend if it didn't work:eek:
I also got cc cheese and Lakeland 2 for £5 Lakeland didn't appear on msm so I'm hoping ccity compares at full price...we shall see, just hope I bought enough items..little man was going mad for a "nana" he'd seen me put in the basket and I couldn't think straight...:eek:hate it when you go blank0 -
Here is one of the Yahoo articles I read,
http://www.channel4.com/news/yahoos-email-system-hacked-by-criminal-spammers
there is a link to check for suspicious activity towards the end. HTHs0 -

Ok, but one thing to be aware of when using any Yahoo/Gmail/ Facebook account is that the area which states where you're logging in from is NOT accurate to any degree. It's a lot to do with ISP's and the unique IP address being used at the time and their servers of where they're based and shared with. It's more often that not, not a case of being hacked.
Facebook for example are terrible for this. It's well known that often they will tell you you're logging in from X when X is hundreds/thousands of miles away. I have a FB account used only for 'business' purposes. It always thinks my current location is Scotland/Germany or Russia which is simply down to the ISP and IP address being used at the time.
Yahoo users experience similar 'problems'. They aren't problems of course, but can give the wrong impression.
Obviously in some cases suspicious activity could be just that, but usually it's simply down to systems in place at the time.0
