    Hi all,

    Well the results are in.....

Scan showed no active cancer :D

However, a large tumour that they have renamed 'scar tissue' remains. If it stays there at that size there is a fair chance of the Hodgkins relapsing :( The only way to reduce the tumour now is with radiotherapy which will significantly increase my risk of breast cancer :( There was a big meeting this morning discussing my case and my consultant and the 'experts' couldn't agree on the best course of action, so they have left it up to me to decide  They are arranging an appointment for me to discuss pros/cons and statistics to help with my choice.

I should really be concentrating on the fact that the cancer has gone but am struggling to celebrate at the moment. Such a big

Was really hoping to be put it all behind us but it seems i'm not at the finish line yet. Must plod on though.

Thanks for all of your support :A

Thanks everyone, am feeling a bit more positive now :)

DH took the afternoon off work in the end so I've at least had company.
I've also had another phone call from my specialist nurse to say I can stop the clexane injections :j Have to say my tummy is rather sore after 6 months of jabbing myself daily so that was very welcome news :D

David., DH and I already joked about me having the radio and then doing an Angelina ;) Don't think it'll be an option i'm offered though.

Guess everyone has some risk of these things, at least i'll be closely monitored and i'll be on high alert myself so should catch anything early.

Have put the Champagne in the fridge ;):)

Logie just catching up. Good news about the active cancer so enjoy the champers

Take the next step/ decision when you have more information and can consider all the options. For now enjoy the news about the active cancer. :A
Smile :) and hopefully the world will smile back

No I meant I would have mine chopped off :D (Notice lads not cut off but chopped off sounds a lot bigger NLP :rotfl:) if the worst came to the worst. But it would be a chance I would take. Not knowing any of the facts
Glad to hear the champagne is chilling you deserve it

    AAU,

Thanks for posting about the 1p chocs. I was in Glasgow today so detoured by Milngavie and relieved them of 10 boxes. Still plenty left on the shelf.

PS opened a box to try them and they are very nice indeed.

    Thanks again AAU!!! :T:T:T

Grrr I need a rant! Sorry guys!
I am still first in the comp on Facebook that some of you have kindly voted for me in and today I went on to check and the woman in 2nd place has been writing comments saying things like 'vote for me to get back to first place a LOYAL long standing member' and 'help me a LOYAL GALA long member' etc etc just because she messaged me when I got to first saying I had nudged her to second place but it was all good fun and what was my name and how long had I been a member! I told her I don't play all the time and only a member for a few years and now all these comments!
Like the claws are out! If the comp was only for long standing members then they should have said! Grrr I am really annoyed now!

Sorry to share and I know its nothing in comparison to what some of you are going through but I had to get it off me chest!

    Hi Legendmum

Have just voted for you on the Gala comp - hope you stay in first position. By coincidence I saw you post on my sister's facebook page too the other day about the comp- seems that you know her (Claire Hart).

    Best of luck
