I find M's too confusing to shop against unless its a big glitch, I am afraid I am more comfortable A vs T and sometimes A vs S :o

I'll let you in on a secret - I'm also more comfortable comparing vs T or S (or W). One way is to find 7+ items on which T & M are price-matched and which compare from A and put that in a shop with the Solero (and trigger). Then it should compare vs M, but if not has a back-up vs T which gives you what you expected. Downside is you are then having to do an extra shop, perhaps, and therefore overall you're buy more fillers. It would be great if we could just do the one shop vs M and for it to be 'safe' (safely glitch). Instead, risking items coming back N/A, we may only shop for what we think is 'safe' (and then possibly find it isn't) or may avoid shopping until we know the item is comparing properly.

We now know the Cheerios 375g work vs M - but it's now not as useful as it could have been, as another price collection is due on the APG and it could suddenly refresh and all change.

I should perhaps have expressly stated this before - instead of perhaps assuming that people might contact me without me soliciting it - but please do PM me with failures, or confirmation, regarding items on my Avs M list (or Tvs M for that matter) - obviously not now the current one is expiring but after the next one. I can then update the M list to let us all know more effectively. I don't want to know about items that have returned N/A that we already know are returning N/A or items that have already been successfully confirmed (I'll have been updating the M list to say so if/when we start doing this). But don't feel unable to tell me where items haven't worked or where you think there are better alternatives.

Do feel free to PM me, from time to time, about items you've spotted that work well and aren't on my lists. I do take note of all feedback and will consider items for inclusion where I've missed them (or it may prompt me to add them on when I hadn't yet got round to doing it). Bear in mind though that the offers need to be good enough and get through the screening before they go on any of my lists - we only want the very best offers on there! Think "Elite"!! (We aren't going to have some expensive "half price" when a competitor was charging far less than that three weeks ago.)

I do take note of, as and when I see them, the posts on here. This includes you, mhoc, and I've taken your Honey Monster Sugar Puffs success and entered it on my Avs M list albeit belatedly (the others unfortunately weren't good enough by my strict standards and don't be deterred by that from posting them).

If I'm sent a PM I will see it, similarly if the information is put onto this forum, I will consider it as and when I see it but it might never come to my notice, whereas a PM will or will draw my attention to it. My apologies for not being able fully to update the details of the "also vs" things on my lists; I'm doing my best and don't feel that you can't help me to update the details, for example of new items, even better.

Just one final thing - there's a price collection by the APG people tomorrow and Wednesday, but I can only manage once a week (i.e. the Wednesday) - please don't inundate me with new Morries offers tomorrow - while it would be fantastic if we could have earlier info. than I can manage and run throughout the week, I will pick up on these on Wednesday's price check. If they are very good offers in M and aren't there by time my M list is 'finished' (usually late Friday night or on Saturday) please do then contact me if you feel they should be added. Many thanks.

Ok, I'm off to get my finger checked in the morning. It's stopped bleeding, there are no obvious signs of infection but now I've noticed numbness around it, up my nail and I can't bend it all the way down

As someone who's job is 90% typing, this is not good

Thanks frequent but do you mean S v A?

    Yes I do.

Few more bits to add to that shop, have a £9 off £60 and £7 apg to use.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Sorry but if you are concerned you should go along to a University open day or evening where they explain about fees.

Those students from Families earning under a certain threshold get a grant up to around 4K a year. (THey all pay fees regardless at the same level - in a student loan).

For every £1 of Grant they take they lose 50p of their student loan. The levels vary by region too so this in London get more.

So technically, a poor student will get 50% more a year than one from a more wealthy background. It doesn't just cut off. It is means tested and you can get help all the way up to 45K. After looking at all the ins and outs, and the rates that student swill pay their loans back, I am actively encouraging my DD2 to go to uni away from home, sod the cost, because the time I had simply can not be bought.

I am, however, encouraging her to stay north of say Birmingham because below that, the housing costs are simply ridiculous.

Don't take my word for it, look into it. :A

    Better explained than my attempt.

Agree about the housing costs, DS2's first choice was Bristol and the housing costs there are much higher than "up north".
Even in a northern town, the non means tested part of the student load doesn't even cover hall fees! So parents who earn above the lowest incomes need to think about helping their children out.
