Just checked summer clubcard exchange, their page hasn't updated yet, was hoping it would have done, as by all accounts, the exchange goes live tomorrow.

I'd've bought the shelf full and DTD it. I did the same with KitKats when they had 100% free. They tried telling me they were different. I simply asked if they'd like me to phone trading standards and Nestle to tell them that Tesco were charging more for a product where the manufacturer were offering extra free! :rotfl:

You're quite right (or, even, absolutely right - there's not merely "quiteness" about it!) If there's an 'extra free' product I always look around to see if there is an item that doesn't have the 'free' on it and what price it is. Legally they're not allowed to charge you more on the 'extra free' version than the price they have on the 'non-extra free' - if they stock it. They can avoid it by suddenly changing, for example, I saw the Bounty 4 packs in one chain became the "Bounty 4 with 4 extra free". The plain 4 pack was £1 the week before. This week, when they had the Bounty 4+4 'free', suddenly there were no plain 4 packs to be seen but some 3 pack instead at £1. The price on the 4+4 free was £1.79. Not exactly extra "free" (compared to the previous week). They can all change prices week by week and vary and switch their offers - then up one version goes, and down in price two weeks later, with a huge "better than half price" on it. No thank you - not when it was 33p three weeks ago, £1.49 now, but 44p now! (It is, of course, 'better than half price' as this has to relate to the immediately preceding price - namely the £1.49 when we were all avoiding buying the product - unless it was cheaper elsewhere, in which case it was probably even cheaper at 33p elsewhere! Now, though, with rivals watching each other, all other stores are 76p and the 44p won't give anything back when you now buy it at "better than half price" as most of the public will doubtless do...!!)

Weekend Wombling Ravages are now in....

Not quite as good as last weekend (Bank Hol), but none the less....:D

88 collected of which 43 paid a dividend ranging from £0.02 (but had 30p cashback on) to £5.71 - TOT £46.77

    7 paid cashback ranging from £0.10 to £0.60 - TOT £3.80

A handsome £50.57 to the happy fund

I think that you will be wombling champion of the month:A

Who knows, maybe it would have scanned at £2, same as the 4 pack.

it was an express store and I was in a rush. If anyone sees it and wants to give it a try then go ahead
