I don't want to get into a whole social debate but I really think this is ridiculous and completely uninformed.

I have worked in the public sector delivering benefits and these "jobbos" for over 22 years and believe me it is not a life that anyone would aspire to. There are lots of social and economic reasons why people end up in these poverty traps and it is extremely difficult to get out.
There is certainly no such thing as free money and the upcoming changes to the welfare system will cause major problems for vulnerable people who have to rely on the state and also for us in middle wage families who will also lose out.
A little charity and understanding goes a long way.

    Totally agree elliemoo :T

Spent a nice day in the garden until the rain came down and stopped play:(but I got a nice lot done.Runner beans in ,pots planted up and then decided to give the Arbour a freshenen up with a bit of Ronseal Wood Treatment I got at BM's cheap the other week;) Am feeling a bit sad as whilst doing it realised how rotten it is and think it is coming to the end of its days:(My DH build this for me 20years ago and so reminds me of him and deep down I know the only thing holding it together is a few rusty screws and the Love he put into it for me :AWhen things like this happen its like losing another little part of him.I will have to think what I can replace it with maybe next year as would rather do that than wake up one morning and find it all fallen down.

Will have a catchup after dinner so hope all is well with elite
Can you not photograph it or maybe you have one already and have someone make you another, adding in to it a piece from the original somewhere ;)

That way it still lives on

FC I read your DH's progress with such joy :) there is always a light at the end of the tunnel how ever far away it may seem, so glad he is doing well, keep us informed please and glad you had a good day :)

Thank you PM, thankfully this latest episode has just been a blip purely down to a bad reaction to medication. It doesn't seem to have set him back as much as I was worried it would. Onwards and upwards :)

    Hi.

I'm back - there were no Nouvelle 9+9 packs in the T store that I found them in last time (months ago), so I saved money and left with nothing - good job, as I would never have had time for my A shopping, the more important one, before early closing.

The half price Nouvelles, and there being some 'extra free' packs around, was mentioned here a week or two ago, so I suspect it has been and gone - not to worry as I'm not desperate for toilet rolls. The Disco crisps can wait until there's some glitch on the APG - I'm pleased some of you have managed to take advantage of the ones in T.

Thanks to whoever found the Nouvelles. Please can someone remember to tell me if the Nouvelles with extra free go on half price and coincide with the extra free Discos (and A being cheaper) again.

In A, I used APGs and GC. Sometimes the way to saving money is to avoid being tempted by the Nestle Chocolate Desserts. I'm sure they will go on offer again at a rival later on. It's no good spending an extra 90p that we wouldn't otherwise have spent simply because the lower prices we get on every item cause us to do so. So, this time, already with the 4pk Rolo Dessert from last time, I resisted them!:T

With or without them - and doing a shop vs M using my APGs and GC - I was a little amazed at how I fairly often struggle to spend much:rotfl::rotfl:, even with a packet of Cheerios in the basket! Blame those S/P items, made a little cheaper vs M.

I didn't find any nouvelle big packs either savvy :( . Are you asking if the 100% disco packs compare favourably or just the nouvelles?

Hi when I try to send an e mail on my iPad I keep getting a message saying the sender address was rejected by the server and is placed in my outbox. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this please. :)
