Yes, I need some tickets. Googling "Win FA Cup Final tickets" like mad

So, despite my incessant googling of ‘Win FA Cup Final tickets’ I sadly didn’t win a pair.

Not to worry, the TV is always a decent alternative

But, ahaaaa

It turns out that MSE possibly has the nicest bunch of members on any forum that I’ve ever visited

So many of you had PMd me to say they had/were entering any Man City FA cup Final ticket competition that they came across and wished me luck.

Therefore, I know at the very least, my chances of obtaining a pair of tickets had now increased at least 10 fold.

But still, Monday had passed and nothing. Poor old Maine Blue.
And then, dinner time Tuesday, I got a PM from a member called partlydave. We’d never really come across each other before but what he sent me knocked me off my feet. In a nutshell it read:-

“I won 2 tickets in the Budweiser FB comp that sidsnot posted, just had an email from them. I'm going to let you have them. It was always my intention to let you have them if I won as you post so many comps you deserve it.”

After I recovered from fainting we exchanged facebook ‘likes’ etc and contacted each other via facebook (so to not be breaking any harsh MSE rules) and this morning the postman knocked on the door with a pair of premium tickets to The FA Cup Final AND in the Man City end too.

The story doesn’t quite end here.......

There’s a member (can’t recall who) who has a signature about ‘karma and what goes around comes around’

I entered a competition a few weeks ago to win Eric Clapton tickets at the MEN Arena next Tuesday. Not fussed whether I go or not if I win; probably stick them on ebay.

Think again Maine Blue.

It turns out that partlydave and his partner are fans of Mr Clapton and guess what partlydave is actually going to be in Manchester on Tuesday too?

Karma? What goes around comes around!!

All down to the kindness and huge generosity of MSE compers (‘cos to be fair if it wasn’t partlydave it could have been any one of the others who were trying to win me these tickets) I am off to see my beloved Man City in an FA Cup Final. It’s like a dream.

So, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to partlydave and EVERYONE who was trying to win me these tickets. You have made me one helluva happy chap (and my mate who’s coming with me is somewhat chuffed too).

Pleased for you, albeit slightly jealous! At least I got my Wembley trip to the semis but not quite the same as final eh.
