The 'making extra money' went well in January - we managed an extra £505. However, we have just committed ourselves to £6720 of new debt.... as we have just bought a new kitchen!
Our's is really bad, falling apart and we have wanted one for a long time. It is 12 month buy now pay later at 0%. So we will save up and pay the balance off in full next Feb.
We are using our current savings to pay for the installation so by the end of Feb we will only have a few hundred pounds to our name. However, our SOA says that we should be able to save about £1300 per month so the complete skintness should only be temporary.
ATS has applied for a new job. It would be really good for him and I really, really hope that he gets it. It would also mean an extra £14,000 a year so it would be good in other ways too
My job is still going well. I'm still enjoying it. There is a possible promotion in the offing in the next few months, which I'd love but I'm not going to get fixated on it.
Mam has one more chemo to do before she starts 3 weeks of daily radiation. Fingers crossed she gets the all clear after everything that she has been through.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
