I wish I could get around to painting the outside of my house *sign* The exterior needs so much work doing, but it's all a bit expensive at the moment.
The woodland walk sounds lovely, some of the best moments in life are really free!
The windows debt is a pain in the @rse, interest calculations always seem to be complicated beyond reason and definitely in the lenders favour.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Not spent much money. £3.80 on a roller head. ATSIJS spent £20 on paint stripper. I'll need to put fuel in the car today. Probably just £15 or so.
Ah you crack me up. You asked me to drive you to the paint shop. You choose the product you want but because I handed over the money I spent it! hahahaha :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Though i guess it was my fault you needed it for taking up the stair carpet.
Seriously though, PBS has some good news but I'll let her post that later.
House painting still not quite finished. We'll get there this week - hopefully. All depends on the numpty builders next door finishing.0 -
ATSIJS good to see you posting again.

We bought the paint last year when BnQ had a three for two offer on paint, still cost about £120 though  It's been sitting in the garage for 9 months as the weather has been pants. We're painting it ourselves which is saving money, might actually get it finished inside the three week mark...?- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

Okay, HUGE news. My Uncle has decided, totally out of the blue, to give me £5,000! :cheesy: :j:
It will make a massive difference to our financial forecast over the next 9 months. We are going to pay off the window debt and put the other £3,000 aside. It also means that we can save the £200 a month budgeted for the window repayments instead. In 9 months we could have as much as £6,000 in savings.
We have lots of DIY projects to finish and now we can think/plan them properly instead of always saying, "when we've got some money we can do..."
