Hi PBS, good to see you back, good luck with the job interview, I know what you mean about it being good for you, sometimes its just getting out of the house and having adult conversation.

Take care and i'm off to subscribe.

    Hi PWPS!

Nice to see you too! I notice you have a new diary too, just a a sneaky peek. Congrats on the two chickens, hope they lay lots of lovely big eggs for you.

Strange day today. I was dog tired. Didn't wake up until 11.30am and then so tired I fell asleep again at 2.30 until 5.30. the last time I went about my tiredness a few months ago the Dr found that I was anemic so prescribed me iron tablets. I'm still on them, so I don't think it can be the reason I'm still tired. Maybe it is the citalopram, I don't know. But is is frustrating.

In the few hours that I haven't been konked out I put some plants in the back garden and had a good tidy up out there. I watered everything too because WE HAD SUNSHINE all weekend!

I need to apply for a replacement bank card tomorrow, I have lost mine somewhere in the house and I'm always a bit on edge when I can't check my online banking. The good news is that I haven't spent any money for 9 days and won't until the new card arrives either.

We had a friend of DD's over to play today, they had a fab time. When ATSIJS took her home her mum gave us three big, home made, cookie monster cupcakes. I've just scoffed one with a herbal tea, yummie!

Oh, and some great news. My Mum has very kindly offered to give us the £300 for the care repair. :) She's really great and I don't know where I'd be without her.

    Hi Piquant!

Lovely to see you over here! To tell you the truth I was totally inspired by you and 'grasp the nettle' to apply for the gardening job. I have the interview on Thursday, so (green)fingers crossed!

Love to Colin and the Captain.

Today I found my bank card under the bed (of course! Where else?) I immediately did my online banking. There were no surprises - phew. I did recalculate how much we have paid off the windows/door finance and I have updated my signature. I'm pleased because the last time it did it (January maybe?) we had only paid off 22%, now we have paid 56% and are due to clear the rest in 9 months. I think we can bring this forward a bit, ideally six months, if finances allow.

DD went to ballet tonight, first time since Christmas. £4 spend there. Whilst she was there ATSIJS, DS and I went to the local Portuguese cafe and spent £8 () We are trying to learn Portuguese at the moment, so that's my tenuous justification for that spend... :o

    No other financial update.

Hopefully we will finish painting the playroom tomorrow morning and then ATSIJS can lay the carpet. I have the material to make the curtains and a padded cushion for the reading nook. I'll try and get those done before the weekend.

Just a quickie. Haven't finished the playroom, truth be told the weather is too darn nice! Will do some tonight after 8pm. Had to do lots of watering as everything looking a bit 'droopy'. Will do a bit more tonight before bed, make sure everything has had plenty to drink.

Visited my local GroundWork Trust center to inquire about volunteering one day a week in their horticulture 'zone'. It's a bit sad, but I fell in love with their polytunnels! Gosh, can't wait to get myself a couple of those babies! Beats having to carry my propagator trays around all day following the sun!

Interview tomorrow, fingers crossed. If I get it it could be the start of a new career for me. I'll be able to say 'I am a gardener' rather than 'I want to be a gardener'. On that note, I am helping a friend with her garden this afternoon, so it's all practice!

Nothing money-wise to report other than I updated my 'making extra money' spreadsheet and updated the total in my signature.
