    The quid pro quo is always some benefit tied to an increased commitment. If you don't mind the latter, you benefit from the former.

    As for meaning what they say, I cannot fault them for clarity - you will get a letter confirming what you agreed and any minimum term is also pointed out.

    You then review the info, if all OK do nothing. If you have a query, this is your opportunity to resolve OR cancel.
