Weird links

Anyone else noticed there suddenly are many weird links in many posts? Links to credit scoring sites, "win an iPhone" and such stuff. Pretty much random advertising.

Can't believe this would be something MSE would do to us, and I don't think the posters added those links. But how else would those links happen?

    Haven't seen any of them myself, but notice you've referred to them elsewhere, so presumably someone has removed them?

    No, they are all still there....

    Can't you see any? I see them all over the place. Been using Quidco quite a bit tonight, I wonder whether it's anything to do with that?

    May be I have contracted some weird virus. Better run a virus scan.

    Don't see any ads but I use AdBlockPlus. I also block tracking cookies.
    What browser are you using?

    I'd recommend a MalwareByte's scan and a virus scan to be on the safe side.

    Bloody hell, how did that happen? I never downloaded anything today, and I have MS Security Essentials on. Not had any virus ever in some 15 years on the Internet....

    You mentioned one in Gadfium's (?) post on another thread. I couldn't see any link so assumed it had been removed ;) I'm using Chrome.

    Are you ok innovate?
    Been working too hard answering ISA questions?

    I've also got a virus - but the physical, rather than technological variety. Just hope its not Hong Kong Flu :eek:
