You could try dropping the wine on your foot and suing them for personal injury, or perhaps stand too close to the bargain patio heater and catch fire?

    Just a thought.

    That made me laugh;)

    WELL done to op.

think everyone else should get of ther high horses.

if this was a mistake that others could have done (say an online error) there would be loads of people doing the offer. ( most likely most of them thats just moaned also)..

what offer? he's pretending something for his own benefit, to the detriment of others!!! that is fraudulent & the OP should be ashamed of themselves! by commending him you are encouraging it & should also be ashamed of yourself!

Or the poster could just get a long mac/coat with lots of pockets and go round popping stuff in (shoplifting). This is more or less what they did in a round about way (stealing).

To make it worse made out the staff where at fault.

Fingers crossed, Lidl will know who the OP is from their records. Like all big retailers, they're bound to keep a eye out for this kind of thing.

Roony, thanks for the best laugh for a long while. OP will probably be up for a Darwin award 1 day.

They didn't have to give you anything. A posted price is, in legal terms, an "invitation to treat". The contract is not made until they accept the money you give them and you accept the goods. It is a common misunderstanding that shops have to sell at the posted price when they make a mistake. I would have given you !!!!!! all. You did well.

it wasn't the same though. The op got two bottles of wine from it and that in itself was very nice of them as they didn't have to anything really. It was not a SEL mistake, just poor placement. But to then phone up and lie and say you had rude service to get a tenner when they were not rude, infact by the sounds of it they were opposite, is what people are saying is wrong.

There's no horses here, high or low.
    Nice to save.
