LIDL Patio Heater misprice....what should i do????

Have just bought the patio heater they advertised for £49.99 however it was displayed next to small patio heaters that were £39.99 and they had put the big obne under the cheaper price.

When i said that they have to give me it for that price they said they wouldn't however the area manager was there so i approached him. He gave me 2 bottles of wine worth about £15 or so which is all good but i still think i can get something back from their head office......what should i do????

Thanks,

Why should you get something back from head office ?
They were entitled to withdraw the goods from sale and are not obliged to sell to you,
Be thankful you got two bottles of wine.

Unlikely to get anything back - lucky to get the wine! They do not HAVE to sell you anything in the shop, if something is mispriced they can just refuse to sell it to you, the contract is when you offer them the money (offer) and they accept the money (acceptance).

I've posted answers like this before and been corrected in the details, so I shall leave it at that!

How about .... admit that you knew the real price should be £49.99 and were trying it on in order to obtain a discount and return the 2 bottles of wine with a note apologising for trying to take advantage;)

    or

go home, put the barbie on and have a pleasant warm evening with the heaters and 2 free bottles of wine.

Didn't you want it for £49.99? in which case why didn't you just say you didn't want it and that's that. Or are you trying to squeeze as much as poss out of the company just because they'd put their signs up wrong?

If it were me I'd be more than happy with the wine.
