no it makes you a sad person who is only out to rip companys off for a simple error. luckily (she says tongue in cheek) its a large company who can probably stand the loss. smaller ones wouldn't be able too.
money saving and being a rip off merchant are two very different things.
did you tell head office you;d been given 2 bottles of wine, somehow i doubt it, and you didn't tell them the staff weren't rude, which implies you made out like they were. which could lead to the manager of the store telling off members of staff for no reason.
still you got your £10 and 2 bottles of wine and your patio heater. smacks to me of "I'm alright jack, !!!!!! you".0 -
correct on all accounts. Ill be back into the store tomorrow to see what other bargains there are to be had!!!

Greed is the downfall of many men... and women!
You bought a heater that was £49.99 for £49.99, you (alledgedly) say you thought it was £39.99 (though I would imagine the ticket held some other description), you're £10 worse off (even though your not!), you get 2 bottles of wine gratis worth £15, so your £5 up (or £15 as the case may be), and your still not satisfied!.... New Labour by any chance?0 -
oooooooooh such responses. Isnt this about money saving???? Ive had 2 bottles of wine out of them and after speaking with head office their sending me £10 cheque. Ps their staff wernt rude but head office didnt need to know that. Does this make me the money saving expert bestest money saver?
Am I understanding that right? You complained about the staff being rude when they were not? All to get more out of the company?
Moneysaving? No, more like fraud.
Oh, hang on - is that the whiff of troll I smell?0 -
I also have to agree with people above.
Greed is a desire to obtain more money or material possessions or bodily satisfaction than one is considered to need. A more religious term for greed is avarice, which is listed as one of the Catholic Seven Deadly Sins.0 -

You could try dropping the wine on your foot and suing them for personal injury, or perhaps stand too close to the bargain patio heater and catch fire?
Just a thought.0 -
