Bossy stop looking for today - it will turn up sweetie. Vali does some pinning thing. Do you remember when you could not find your passports. I could hear the tinge of panic in your earlier post. We found DS2's watch on the weekend which he had 'lost' back in the summer, we'd given up hope. It was tucked right down the back of the sofa and moved when we tipped the sofa up to take it out the room.

Sander being delivered this afternoon. Once DS1 gets back from work he can help me move some furniture.

Off to hoover downstairs and empty WM - it looks like rain but think I'll put it on the line and keep an eye.

of far less importance but
my birth cert and medical card have turned up after being missing over 15 years, i thought id looked everywhere for those.
DS2 lost a game disc and was convinced one of his brothers mates had 'borrowed' it. it turned up 6 months later in a box of jigsaw puzzles.

Thanks Dusty and mrs mp, have stopped and made a cup of tea.

DS is asking for something out of the loft, I've said no because we're going out soon then I'm taking them to granny's. He said I don't want to stay there, I only want to stay a little bit. Just a small ten nights :rotfl: that has cheered me up!

Weans decluttered to school
2 x WM 1 on the line the other spinning at the moment and I will get it out too and then stick another load in. Washing up done and bunkers cleared and wiped. Just about to put that ironing board up and make a start on the rest of the mountain. OH off today so I'm about to chuck him outside to wash the windows as they are clatty and I'm not going up that huge ladder to do it. If I'm feeling kind I may hold the ladder for him!

Suggest you also 'cloud' the file somewhere (for simplictity I e mail stuff to myself then I can access it anywhere)

you have to laugh when they come out with things like that dont you.

when our eldest first started school, she got really upset and was crying when the letter for christmas dinner came out. i was trying to cheer her up saying how nice it would be having a special dinner with all of her friends but it just made her worse. finally i said fine you havent got to have one i can do you a pack up. she howled and said please i just want christmas dinner at home with you and daddy like normal and promised to be extra good if id let her. she actually thought that the school was opening christmas day for the kids to be fed there

Bossy: It will turn up. You put it somewhere safe.

Have you done Memory Boxes for the children? You may have put a copy in each of them, too.

In the meantime, Valli, I love the idea of pinning the devil and I will certainly try that. I email everything to myself that matters as an attachment.

I use flame-scrying - light a candle, look into the flame and try to "see" the missing object. Or sometimes I throw a hissy fit and yell at whichever dragon/imp/house-wight has pinched it to give it back!! NOW!!:rotfl:

My engagement ring was missing for absolutely months; I finally gave up, and assumed I'd taken it off to wash my hands somewhere and forgotten to pick it up, then one day it turned up - in my knicker drawer!! Now, I never put it anywhere near there, so it couldn't have fallen in, and I'd had that drawer open every single day (obviously!!) and it hadn't been there before, so what on earth happened? *insert shruggy smilie*:o

Bossy I'm so glad you have a plan to get another copy - you can bet your boots as soon as you do the missing one will suddenly materialise (no fun for the guilty house-wight anymore, see;)) but two copies is far better than none.:o

Awww bless.:D My mother used to often threaten to pack me off to boarding school; unfortunately, because even then I was quite deaf, I always thought she said Borstal.:D If I'd heard her properly, I'd probably have said "yes please, when can I go?":eek:

That's the 3rd load on the line and it looks like rain now I hope it stays away for a wee while at least. I'm on my second basket of ironing just about another 50+ to go, ok not as much as that but it will feel like that! Cup of tea and bowl of cereal decluttered. Another supernatural DVD on and off I go!
