I would like a VCR. Mine packed up and I have loads of videos that I would like to copy over to dvd/memory stick.0

At which point, you introduce Exhibit A to the court - the owner's manual for the analogue tuner VCR, showing the date on which the manufacturer printed it (pre-digital), showing how it gets tuned in (to analogue channels), along with supporting docs regarding date of digital switchover etc.
I have every faith in the magistrate's ability to find some way around this.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Are you aged between 18-24 ?
taken from article I mentioned above
Those regions most likely to still record via the traditional tape method in the last year are Scots and Londoners (both 15%). Perhaps surprisingly, young people aged 18-24 (15%) are the most likely to have taped a programme in the last year using a VCR than any other age group.
No.I wish I could tape my vcrs video plus they don't have the numbers in the magazine now also my videos connected in a way that I can't record also have freeview have channels that can watch again like e4+1 and itv2 so don't need to record good to watch videos of tv programmes I recorded when I was in my 20s.0 -
The canal.
If you're not that drunk and in a decent mood do what I often do, tape a sign on it saying "For you, working!", tape the remote to it, leave it on a bench that lots of people pass in decent weather so it doesn't get rained on. Usually you can stop up the road for 2 minutes and see people happily take it.0 -
If its a decent player with S-video output or component and TBC then it will be in demand for video copying and will sell for reasonable amounts, I bought one for £70 on Ebay a while back, copied all my tapes and sold it on.
If its cheap-as-chips common or garden model, its only fit for the tip.0 -

If you put up a sign saying "free" nobody will take it.
If you put up a sign saying "For sale £50", somebody will take it.0 -
"Yes, m'lud, video cassette recorders can record live digital television broadcasts".
I had a Freeview box for years before the switchover, and could plumb its SCART output into my VCR to record stuff on a Freeview-only channel. So yes, VHS video recorders can be used to record live digital TV broadcasts. At which point, you introduce Exhibit A to the court - the owner's manual for the analogue tuner VCR, showing the date on which the manufacturer printed it (pre-digital), showing how it gets tuned in (to analogue channels), along with supporting docs regarding date of digital switchover etc.0
