 Hey guys-
I have a VCR that I can no longer use. I have had it for at least ten years. Hoping to actually sell it because I am converting over to DVD and am buying certain television series on DVD {plus some other things}. Any ideas??

I've sold loads of gear on Gumtree0

:rotfl:what's a VCR?0

May struggle to sell it, but Freecycle it and it will go.0

It can really only be used as a player - the tuner will be analogue and now useless, so if you're lucky someone who wants to use it as a playback machine will be willing to pay a tenner - there's still too much choice out there!0

No problem recording as long as you don't use the tuner. I record from a freeview box or sky when I'm out using the scart connections.0 -
The only place I was going to suggest was the "Small Electrical Items" skip at the local recycling centre. Gumtree and Freecycle are full of VHS recorders that no-one wants. Our old one went to the tip a month ago.0

If you have a local old folks' home, hospice, or other charitable concern that could make use of it, give it to them.
The good top-of-the-range ones, boxed in excellent condition, with remote and all gubbins included, still seem to sell on eBay, but anything in lesser condition than this or a basis model will struggle to sell.
If you have an eBay login, you can browse Completed Items and see what they're actually selling for, maybe find your model. If you don't have this, post model and make here, and some kind soul will look it up for you0 -
Good luck with selling a ten year old piece of redundant technology. I think you'll have difficulty giving it away!LadyLaveau wrote: »[I have had it for at least ten years. Hoping to actually sell it0 -
