Afternoon all.
I've been a busy girl today already.
I went here today and bought lots of meat in the food hall. I bought a large beef joint and a large pork joint, 1.5 kg of chicken breasts and 12 sausages. It's cheaper than supermarket meat there. I've got people coming tomorrow so I'll either roast the beef or barbecue the sausages depending on the weather.
Hubby and DS2 went to the comic shop and picked up three free comics each, as its Free Comic Book day. I cleaned the kitchen cupboard fronts instead.
I went to Sainsburys to get the rest of the shop but they had lots of good offers so I bought more than I needed. The freezer is full to bursting point now! I should be able to spend much less for the rest of the month now.
I might bake a cake later but I can't decide what to make.0 -
Happy Star Wars Day everyone!:p
Poor Mr LW had to eat crow yesterday.... he ordered two pairs of trousers from an online supplier (one he's used before, and likes), he ordered one pair in Toffee and one in Moss Green. They arrived a couple of days ago, and when he unpacked the parcel, he told me they'd sent two pairs in Toffee. Note.... I didn't see them myself at this point. So he emailed, and said should he return the whole package or just the one pair, got his instructions back by email, together with an apology, and last night went to do up the parcel.... only to realise they had actually sent the right colours!!! So he had to email again explaining he'd been mistaken - he added in his email that I'd thought it hilarious, as I have for a long time been pairing up his socks for him, to prevent him wearing one black and one dark blue.:rotfl:I think it may be time for him to visit the optician.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Tenyearstogo i like the look of the Beckworth Emporium. Thats somewhere you could visit for a day out. I could spend hours there browsing.
I did show willing in the garden and managed to mow one side of the path before hubby came home and told me the grass was too wet. The lawnmower is back now in the shed. I just down tools and walked off leaving him to put it away.
Ive made him a coffee and he's gone off pottering down the shed. He hasnt passed comment about the amount of junk ive cleverly disguised in black bin liners..... the idea was he would think it was stuff for the bin men however, the size and shape of the bags will give the game away sooner or later.
The family bible has now been wrapped in a swing bin liner and is in one of the drawers in our bedroom. Strange, i was always told i came from German bloodlines but its clear that it must have been from my Grandmothers side and not my Grandfathers.
Oh well, best get on with the tea. We have lamb again but i'll see if i can conjour up something different with it.

My parents and family home is only a mile away from Beckw0rths. I have never been though xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Feeling a bit sorry for myself.
Oh well, tomorrows another day.

I'm Sure He would rather live his Life the way he is, with you, The person he wont's to live it with.
Than
Live his life without you!
Of course He would like things better, he would like a better life, But its a better life for both of you he would like not just for himself.
But that's what we are all after, Is it not, Those with trouble In there life and those without,
People may ask how I can be sure that he thinks this way? Because he is living this life! If he did not wont to live it he would be living another one.
I hope things get a bit better for you both.:A
But don't every put yourself down, He thinks the world of you, :A
Be happy:A:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Lamewolf my Father was colour blind. My Mother had to dress him if he went anywhere that needed a shirt and tie. She also had to check his wiring too if he needed to replace a plug on an applicance. Not that we seem to have that problem these days. We didnt know he was colour blind but it when i started having problems with my boys recognising colours at school that it was discovered. Obviously i'd passed the gene on to them.
Talking about my Father (which we werent but in a round about way). Ive spent the last hour or so going through a pile of keys determined to get the ladders we use to get up into the loft. My determination has paid off and ive dejunked what was left up there. The only thing up there now is a christmas tree and hubbys laptop box. I'm happy with that.
Ive found my family bible too. Ive taken pictures of the handwritten bits of my family tree but i'm wondering now what to do with the bible itself. As you can see, its pretty old and very decrepid. I think the bible itself is beyond saving but i cant bear to part with it.

The bible is not past repair, But it would be costly,
But do not Bin It!
You Will regret it if you do. Put it a way in a warm dry place.
Bring it out and think of all the family members that It cornets you too Most of who you have never met and never will.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0
