Morning Penny-Pincher! and all,
Sorry to hear of your pain still Penny-Pincher! Am i allowed to ask what is wrong with you? I didnt ask Halight and was relieved when Islandman did. Obviously if you dont want to say, then thats fine. I hope the nurses have been by now.
Pjran hope all goes well with the second viewing with your daughter today.
Betheebee have a safe journey.
Halight comiserations on the rubbish nights sleep. Hubby was in bed at 9pm last night and was awake at 3am raring to go. Which of course kept me awake. I managed to get a couple of good hours sleep after he went to work this morning.
Moorhen thanks for the hugs.
Jacksmummy you were up early. I was glad of the bed to myself at that time.
islandman i can understand where your coming from about asking about what could be matters that could be a bit sensitive. Personally, i'd rather people ask me questions than wonder about things i post. I can always (and often do) delete stuff i dont want left on a public forum later.
JackieO How i envy you and Islandman for living so near the coast. I dont want to live right on the sea front but close enough to get to without using a tank of fuel to get there.
Well my day isnt going as planned. Hubby unlocked the shed before he went to work but its cold, has been raining and the grass, though desperately needing to be cut is soaking wet. Its been raining and i'm calling the attempt at gardening off. I will see if the sun comes out later and assess the situation but i'm not hopefull.
I really wanted to get into the shed to get the ladders out to get up the loft too to empty it completely but ive found that the stepladders are padlocked to the blinking shed! Ive got no chance of getting up there now. I feel a rant coming on but i'll hold it back, for all our sakes.
Not sure what i'm going to do today, i'll see what happens.

Morning all,
judy sorry I missed your question yesterday, I don't mind you asking at all. I'm having my cartlidge done in my knee. It's not a big op but at the moment very debilitating as I can't walk anywhere, will be glad when its done and I can get on with things.
Went our friends last night for a curry. It was delish, we laughed so much my face is aching this morning:eek:
Dh is out at work this morning and will do anything that come in today or Monday.
Tomorrow have around twenty people coming for our DGS birthday tea so once I've cleaned round this morning is shall do as much of the prep and cooking today. This afternoon I will do the trifle, quiches and buns. Tomorrow morning will do the salads and sausages and chicken. Everyone is coming at 1.00 so fingers crossed we have a nice day.
The forecast says 18 and sunny so that should be good.
Washed all my settee covers yesterday so shall go and battle with putting them back on.
Have a lovely weekend xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi everyone
Woke up to a lovely sunny morning, though still a cool wind. Washing out and blowing nicely.
Looking for some advice today. We got our rescue cat just over 2 weeks ago, he's aged 2. Wanting advice on how I go about letting him outside for the first time.....we have a very small garden which backs on to a school field, however if he runs right across that he'll come to the road. No enclosed garden at the front; this is where the cars on the estate come and go. I was hoping to keep him more of an indoor cat if possible and just let him outside when we're out, but I don't know if he'll just make a run for it once the door is opened. He's spending a lot of time at the windows, trying to catch cats and birds through the glass!
Grateful for any advice....0 -

Bit windy down here, it's where I live. Just off for a visit to Margate Old town for a meander round and maybe lunch out. Check which beach you can use as dog ban in beaches in force I think.good morning chums bright and sunny here and it looks klike another nice day hopefully.I have some baking to do this morning then mount ironing to tackle this afternoon, but I have quite a bit of catch-up t.v. to watch and I listen to the wireless in the morning in the kitchen.I have a feeling that my eldest DD may drop in at sometime today as West Ham are at home so her OH and my dgs will be off watching that so she gets a couple of hours free then so I shall make her some of her favourite biscuits just in case:):)
Tomorrow youngest DD and I plus the boys are going to the beach weather permitting so it will either be Westgate,Joss Bay or Viking Bay as they all have nice sandy beaches there The boys and DD go crabbing and son-in-law reads the paper and I read my book and the dogs run in and out of the sea.We take a picnic so the only expence will be an ice cream.Inexpensive day out and the boys love it,We are ideally situated where we live that the sea is no more than 40 minutes away and we know which beaches are good and which get too crowded.I hope everyone has a good weekend what ever you are doing and <<hugs>> for the poorlies and sad
Cheers chums JackieO xxx
P.S. 4th May and no shopping bought yet so food purse is still intact

Hi All,
Bit late this morning.
Plumber phoned yesterday to say would it be allright to not do the boiler service today, which was fine by me. OH can get on quicker now:rotfl:
Got him to drop me at Mr T's at 8am, didn't want to be with the crowds. Managed to spend £70 though:eek: Mind you £23 was for Dad.
OH is doing the tiling of the kitchen floor today, so no WM or DW for a few days. He keeps losing things though, Senior Moments I reckon!:rotfl:
Halight I slept well for once, only awake three times last night.
PP Hope you are feeling better and the nurses are giving you what you need.((HUGS)))
Molly41 and Jules (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))
DD came out of hospital yesterday. She still had the infection, and they have given her pain killing injections in her pelvis:eek:
, but she is a lot better. DGD was an angel as always, and helped Gramma make a pot roaast and trifle for everyone's dinner.
Tonight we have scallops, not sure how to do them yet.
Jack-in-the-green starts today in Hastings, with the parade on Monday, hope the sun is still shining.:TI Believe in saving money!!!:T

A very late good morning everyone

We had rain first thing so no car booting today. It's brightening up now so have just put some washing out.
Have been to the post office to post some ebay parcels, one hasn't paid yet so he will have to wait until Tuesday. Quite a few bits and pieces on there at the moment and a few have a lot of watchers so will keep fingers crossed. Need to get some more stuff photographed and listed.
Lovely to be off work for 3 days and am looking forward to meal out with DH, DD and GDD later. We still haven't decided where we are going but it will be very cheap and cheerful!
Still managed not to touch emergency fund after all the car expenses but it's getting very tight and still 17 days until DH gets paid. There is lots of food in the freezer and store cupboard so we may manage but I keep thinking about the £400+ we need for tyres at the end of the month before the MOT. Will see how it goes and last out as long as we can on ebay and Amazon sales.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day

¡Hola! Amigos
Been a bit of a busy morning so far, taken Skye to the Vet to get the first of thee jabs for Leishmania, which is not very nice and can be caused by the mosquitos, not that we have many where we are really, but rather safe than sorry. She also had an ear infection, I had her groomed at our UK Vets, but they didn't block her ears up it seems. Think it might be a DIY groom next time, now I know how they do it, so she has drops for that.
A little later I am going out to our new shopping centre with our Norwegian neighbours, she and I are going about 5.45ish in the car, and the two guys are walking over for around 8ish, so we can have a mooch around at our own pace, without someone moaning, put the bags in the car and then go to a restaurant there for a meal this evening that offers a fixed menu meal, and they just keep bringing various meats and salmon round, they provide salad bread and chips and a dessert. (no chips for me though:A)
(((:grouphug:))) to those in pain, or under the weather, take care everyone.
