On T-Mobile - After doing a credit check they said i can't! And they didn't tell me why.
So i went onto creditexpert to check my credit score and found out that i have a credit score of 999 with Excellent!
The report says its up to date..
Here's my current situation and what i believe might affect it:
I live in my current address for 2 years.
I have provided my old address (been there for over 20+ years)
I am on the electoral roll(for 2 years now at my current address) - Credit report says i am.
i pay bills (council tax/water/rent etc...) on time!
Most/All my accounts (mob/bank) are registered to my current address
Even my driving license is registered to my current address.
I got a well paid job (a profession) and have been in full-time employment!
i have a good wage
I have applied to only 1 credit card over past 1 year and have only 3 credit cards.
I have credit card bills of £2000.
I never missed any credit card payments over the last 2 years and have been making payments.
But still I just don't understand now. Why? Im confused!

Did they tell you which credit reference agency they use for checking? (Might not be Credit Expert).0
-
Nope they didn't. The sales assistant say they can't tell me because their computer system doesn't tell them.0

you say 2 years what about the other 4's historyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

My other 4 years before was fine. Only missed 1 payment once.0

It's usually the case that the more credit accounts you have the more they trust you.
Do you have any other cards/store cards or loan agreements.
It does sound as if there is something on your credit file that is causing this, even if you don't go ahead with this contract it would be worth checking all the credit agencies to pinpoint the problem.
However, missed payments are always frowned on and are on your credit file for up to six years.0 -
If you count student loans as one...
Yes I have lots of credit account. I recently just found out..
I have home broadband account under my name at my previously address but it is my mum who pays for that.. Will this have an affect?0 -
Seems that English is not your first language. Perhaps not being on the electoral roll is your problem.0

OP said that they have been on the electoral roll for 2 years. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Did you declare this at point of sale? If you already had an account, and then tried to open another separate account the system would decline the new account as you are only allowed a single account on the system.
You should have added the new line onto your existing account.====0 -

I believe I am on the electoral roll as that is what my credit report says but I will still double check with my local council.
Btw, English is my first language, it's the Internet so we use Internet language it's not like we're writing an English literature essay :T
Also I was typing from my iPad.0
