    Hello All

Late checking in today. I knew Mondays fab day would not last! Today was a bit of a pig really. Basics done:-

    S & S kitchen (about 10 times!)
    S & S Bathroom
S & S Lounge - did it properly last week plus it gets tidied everyday (whim out I know:o )
    Popped to post office
weeded edge between next doors fence and ours
Got rest of veg etc I need till Friday (now £3 over budget for this month:eek:  )
Had DD1 friend round for lunch and afternoon - only 2hr 40 mins but
    Cooked roast for tea
    Made a batch of chinese takeaway S & S sauce from index:D

When I picked DD1 up from pre-school she told me she fell over in the playground but 2 of the leaders saw and dealt with it. Bit unusual for them not to tell me at pick up time. This afternoon a bruise has appeared on her face and the inside of her lip is a massive blood blister (didnt find this till DH cleaned her teeth and she said be careful its sore!)- am very  that they did not mention this. So off to office tomorrow to check it was written in accident book (usually parents are given a form to sign). Not happy her having facial injury and it not being recorded (always some loon who could accuse me or us of it), will try to take deep breaths and speak slowly when i do this.

Kids were a bit all over the place today (kind of understand why DD1 may have been a bit off). I thought having friends round would mean they would happily play together - no chance (or is it just mine:confused: )

Right watching how to look good naked.

Sorry Lil_me will try harder tomorrow!:D

Not very good at flying this week, but making good progress on the bathroom, am considering trying to clean up the taps rather than having to pay out for new ones. Ideas for cleaning up "brass" coloured taps would be great.

There's not a lot of point in doing the landing tomorrow, much of it is covered in stuff from the bathroom !!

    Kitchen
[STRIKE]List all the DIY jobs to be done in the kitchen[/STRIKE]
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
    Lounge, Hall and Stairs
Remove clutter - especially on table in lounge, done some of this
Vacuum floor if can be bothered - nah can't be bothered !
[STRIKE]List work that needs doing in the lounge[/STRIKE]
    Master Bedroom & Landing
    Check fire alarms are working
    [STRIKE]Clean rat cage[/STRIKE]
    Put clean washing away

    Plus
    Study - done
Ensure desk is tidy before leave work - done
Reply to emails - especially home ones - 1 left to go
Continue sorting through project email folders at work - done some more

    Bathroom Work
[STRIKE]Get some boxes to sort bathroom contents into[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove naff bathroom cabinet[/STRIKE] and dump.
    Remove nice bathroom cabinet
    [STRIKE]Take splashback off the wall
Take hooks / nails out of the walls[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Take down the shower curtain rail[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove the old sealant around the bath [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Remove the towel rail[/STRIKE]
Fill any holes in the walls - done all but 1 that I can't reach
    Sand back dodgy plaster
    Sugarsoap the walls
    Decide on colour to paint
[STRIKE]Measure up the bath for new panel[/STRIKE]
    Fit new bath panel
    Paint walls
    Paint ceiling
    Sandback gloss paint
    Paint skirting and door frame
    Clean tile grout
Put tiles up behind the sink
Replace the taps on the sink - look at cleaning them up instead
Replace the taps on the bath - look at cleaning them up instead
    Replace the toilet seat
Take up the old flooring and fit new flooring
Fit cabinet back up, towel rail and hooks
    Door
    Carpet strip

lil_me Huskies are indeed quite a handful.
    That's why we love them!

They don't obey commands (unless they find them useful) they'll turn your garden into a moonscape, they will not protect your house from intruders and they howl!

But they are the most beautiful, loyal, loveble and fun dogs around. They love to go for long walks and runs, and we just love them to death.

i haven't got a piccie of him yet, but will get one soon, and show you all!

    As for flying...
Well... eehm.. I hang my head in shame today..

Quite a poor effort from me. I was out for about 6 hours, and that wore me out, but i must do better tomorrow. I'm thinking of skipping the usual wednesday outing to my parents as they have decided to redecorate the living room before my sisters wedding in a few weeks, and i can't be doing with the drama. I seem to have an upset stomach anyway, so i may have a housey morning, and then perhaps get DH and baby to go swimming for an hour in the afternoon if i am feeling up to it.

I second the wanting to know why flylady was in the paper. Which paper, cos it may still be available online to read.

    welcome to the newbies.

emb congrats on the new nephew. More babies to make me feel broody.

shell ouch for your daughters face. too right to check it's recorded as it sounds nasty. (says me who managed to knock the hoover over and hit charlie's face yesterday - luckily no bruise, but it was nasty!)

becca are you mad?:D Probably! but if it makes you happy then enjoy it. At least a dog will not mess up a bedroom or leave a hotspot on your dresser. Under it maybe, but not on it. ;)

Sort out printing out photos – Charlie and wedding
Get school timetable – contact nursery to sort out hours and settling in sessions
Make a follow up vet appointment
New tyres on DH’s and my car

did manage to get the WM on with a load of baby things which will need hanging up.

I'm not even going to pretend tonight that i am going to do much else, other than check swimming times and perhaps get stuff together to go, and a quick kitchen sort. And give the cat his antibiotics. Heck - i'll probably think of more before the end of the night.
