Assuming the router is encrypted, try attaching with a cable to the router, go into the router config screen, copy the encryption key to the clipboard, and paste it into windows again.

the original problem has reoccurred
as I have been having problems with my secure wireless connection
I have not been on the laptop as much since I had the first issue
any how I went to put it on tonight and :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
no screen picture again, tried what dell told me to do last time, which was reconnecting the screen lead. still no picture
will be calling dell tomorrow requesting they take it back for a proper service
any offers of advice greatly appreciated0 -
Dell replaced my 2 day old faulty laptop and gave me a free upgrade so i would deffo push for them to repair it, the fella i spoke to talked me thru a few things on the phone to try n solve my problem, then just said ill replace it for you.

spoke to dell tonight (what a difficult job) trying to talk to someone in India
anyhow it appears that i now need a "new" LCD screen
anyhow Dell are sending someone out to me on Wednesday
i suppose this is a good service, but boy was it difficult to sort out
once it was sorted the guy on the phone wanted me to speak to his boss/supervisor
he only went all over it again :mad: :mad: :mad:
but he was going on about dell collecting the laptop and returing it to me some 7+ days later, again it was difficult to understand what was being siad etc etc
any how end result is someone is coming out on Wednesday to replace the screen on my 8/9 week old laptop0
