Well done - great result. It just goes to show that she was simply trying to intimidate you from day one.
Whatever you do, don’t send her any money! In my view, that would be an admission of liability.
Remember, you never did anything wrong and were prepared to fully refund her if she returned the goods. You sent and insured the goods via a proper service.
It’s clear from her email that she knows that you did not receive the parcel (if indeed it was ever sent) yet she was willing to put you through a court case and make things as difficult for you as possible. What type of person does that? She was totally in the wrong for not using the proper service to return the item to you (that’s assuming that she actually sent it).
I would make sure that you get something official from the court to confirm that the case has been dropped or at least that you are not required to attend. She could be trying to cause confusion so that you do not turn up in court (in which case she would automatically win). Don’t rely on her word for it – she has been deliberately misleading from the outset.0 -
