the police wouldn't be interested at all as it,s a cival matter

So they wouldn't be interested in the fact that the dealer dosn't seem to mind taking cars on the road for a test drive without an MOT? Ahh, interesting.

I don't like the way they make it all into a comedy. Either defrauding people is a laugh, in which case the whole program is redundant, or it's a serious matter in which case we shouldn't have people dressing up and telling jokes about it.

And I wondered why the police told the crew to leave. They've a perfect right to be there as long as they're not on private property. Combine them with the BBC's effort and it's just another wad of licence fee and tax money down the crapper.

The police were no doubt called on the pretense that there was likely to be an occurrence of a breach of the peace. I also agree that it is not a laughing matter.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

In the circumstances last night the only likelihood of a breach of the peace would come from the garage staff. As they were hidden away in the office the police had no need to be there.

Makes you wonder what reason was given to call them in the first place. Also, I wonder if the officers had a word about wasting police time.
