Thanks Bitsy, funnily enough the 2 I was looking at yesterday were both black :D.I've heard that before about choccy ones. There is a lab rescue not too far away so the dogs don't tend to be small pups, which would suit us better really, gorgeous though they are.Still have to convince DH though, and I have to be sensible and wait till after our hols and a wedding with an overnight stay.Boo :(
Thanks for your opinion though :)

We have always had labs. Currently a mad(:rotfl:) choccy boy, has a mind of his own and can think twice about doing what he's told, but not a nasty bone in his body. A big cuddly bear who thinks he's wants to go gallivanting about but soon gets out of puff. And a black female, half his size, obedient as they come and always wants to be on the go. She would make a great working dog. Both living the life of Riley in this weather, sunbathing in the garden or conservatory as the mood takes them. I wouldn't mind a dog's life if I could have theirs, not a worry in the world :)

I turn my back for five minutes and all this talk of pants:eek:

I'm pleased with myself this afternoon. Managed to do my Aldi shop within budget and include the catering for the party for DGS on Sunday. I will have to spend tomorrow cooking, but cooking from scratch will mean everything is so much cheaper and will taste better.
On the menu so far is leg of lamb roast chicken, Mexican, leafy and past salad. Sausages, wedges and dips, chocolate buns, birthday cake, home made cheese twists and sausage rolls, fruit salad and cookies. We're hosting for our dd and DGS as her place isn't big enough. She rang last night to say did I need her to bring anything:rotfl: is it me ??
So tomorrow I will be mainly cooking, never mind hopefully I will get my reward in heaven.
Oh and I need to sort out his pressie which is a surprise goldfish or maybe two in a Nemo tank
Just the two of us for tea tonight, so fish rice and salad and we might push the boat out and eat in the garden. Have a lovely evening

    Evening all
    Happy birthday TTFTM.
Behave yourself you lot, taking my name & habits in vain, I'm keeping quiet about our frequency, I'd hate to make you all jealous!!! We don't do bad for a couple of oldies.
LW, I hope you enjoyed your Beltane celebrations as much as we did.
Hugs to those not sleeping well, I share your pain.
Today I bit the bullet & resigned from my lunch duty job, I really cannot cope any more, it would be ok if everyone did their share, but covering 3 areas on my own is too much, so after half term I'll be doing less & earning less, but hopefully feeling better for it.
The clothes I bought for DD fit beautifully, she's already posted a pic on facebook of her wearing the jeans & one of the tshirt.
    Hugs Hester

    Evening All

Happy Birthday TTFTM, glad you've had a good day.

School was a bit of a disaster today when I lost a craft knife in a classroom! Didn't want to tell the children (9 & 10 year olds) what I had lost but showed them a similar one. Bless them they all searched their trays and bags, I even went to tell the HT. It turned up under a cabinet but I felt physically sick for the afternoon!

Went to do a shift at the hospice and then back to cook tea, looking forward to a nice warm bath and early bed tonight (alone before anyone asks!).

    Take care. XX

Good to hear it Hester, I'm sure the extra stress your under covering three areas on your own isnt good for your health.
