Letter looks good Claire, even if you dont send it have it with you for your OR interview as it will help you. Dont mention that your dad lent you the money to go BR as he will be another creditor. He GAVE you the money to go BR if the question is asked which I very much doubt.
Take care, thinking of you when you finally go to do the deed, I think you might find (like me) that the thought of it was a lot worse than it actually is. For any one who thinks BR is an easy option, don't, for me it is still very difficult as I constantly ask did I do the right thing, but I took professional advice and they advised it, and advised that I do it sooner rather than later. I am still trying to get used to budgeting and am erring on the side of caution (close to scrouge but not quite), so am feeling a little richer than I did before BR and that worries me.Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880 -

Sorry to hijack Claire's thread, but surely OTM, the point of BR is a clean slate so that you precisely do have a little more in your pocket than before and can start life over? It appears from what people have said on here and other type forums that just before going BR, a lot of people don't have anything in their pocket at all and are indeed borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, so the little richer is a good thing in terms of getting back on track. And from what I have read of you on here I don't think you are in danger of it going to your head, so do not waste time worrying - life is short and you only get one shot at it, so enjoy as much as possible
(Edit: Oh yes it is)

The crazy thing is the lady at CCCS did say I would feel this way and because of the debts I had I didn't (want to) believe her, and that I would have a small bit of extra money as I wouldn't be using some of it each month (hair cuts/prescription charges and so on)Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880

Quick question,
Where it asks for the address of creditor's, does it matter which address I put down?
There's one creditor (a bank), do I put down the branch address, the head office address, the address on the letters that are telling me I've defaulted or the address that originally dealt with my request for an overdraft??
Gosh this is confusing!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Doesn't matter too much.
The OR has an official list of correspondence addresses for most of the major banks and financial institutions. When they write to creditors they tend to use this one first so I'm told.
However I put down the head office address for mine and was never asked for any more info.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

THANKS A MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To everyone who has helped me over the past few weeks, on this thread and others that people have replied on, you all know who you are (I don't want to name people individually and miss someone out by mistake!).
The simple fact is that I could/would not have been able to do this without the support I've had from people here. You guys are a really special bunch of people, there aren't many who would go out of their way in the way that people do here and I (and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people) really really appreciate the help and support that is given.
God I feel like I'm going to start blubbing in a min haha! Think the relief is already setting in!
I'm going to start a new thread tonight for a "bankruptcy diary" a la wherediditallgo. Reading through her's has helped me no end and I would like to help other people in the same way if I can. Hope you don't mind wherediditallgo!
Thanks guys your ALL one in a million. x x xSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
