I'm still a little confused as to what to put down for my internet/tv package.

I think I'm just going to have to put £36 down arent I as it's there in black and white for the OR to see.

I feel really stressed today, I go on holiday for 5 days a week tomorrow and after that its just 2 weeks till the big day. I'm so worried, it's the little things that stress me out like setting up a new bank account and sorting my bills out. At the moment they re all paid by DD so I don't have to think about them, for the end of July I'm going to have my salary paid into my dads account and then have to pay my bills by cheque out of his account which causes me stress. I'm going to co-op to set up an account on 6 July after BR but I get paid less than 3 weeks after that so there won't be time (I don't think) for work to change my bank details.

It's always the silly things that get me, the actual going to court and seeing the judge etc isn't really worrying me to much at all at the moment. daft isnt it.

When you open the account with the Co Op explain that you need to have your account number and sort code as soon as possible for your salary to be paid in. I did that and I got mine very quickly. I went to the branch on the Friday did the paperwork there, gave my proof of ID and rang on Monday and got the details over the phone.
Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 88

Thanks for that OTM, I'll bug them like crazy if it helps, it's really stressing me about my dad because I don't want to have him involved if I can help it.

If I can get my new bank account details by the 14th it should be ok to have my salary paid into a couple of weeks later.

Sorry for the self indulgent whinge earlier, it just gets to me sometimes. I'm actually lookinf forward to the day now in a weird sort of way, I'm worried about possibly having an IPA and/or them taking my car but knowing that once the decision has been made theres nothing I can do about it makes it easier to deal with somehow.

    Thanks again.

Just wondering about something else as well, re keeping my car because of my dad and his medical problems, will the OR ask for a letter confirming this? Thanks

Have some other questions to as I'm trying to fill in some more of the forms (God they re long!)

Ok in the list of assets it asks "do you own a motor vehicle" in part 3.7, I have listed my car here but it also says that if you do own a vehicle this must also be listed in part 3.1. Ive looked at 3.1 and theres lot of options, I'm not sure which one I should put this under. These are the options

Cash in bank, building society or similar account
    Money owed to you
    Tools of your trade
    Stock in trade
    Machinery, plant and equipment
    Fixtures and fittings
    Freehold or leasehold property
    Stocks, shares and other investments
    Farming stock and crops
    National Savings and Premium Bonds
Any property abroad in which you have an interest, including timeshares
Any property or sums due to you under a will or trust
Any other property of any value, e.g. paintings, furniture or jewellery

    Is it the last one?

And also, on the section on bank accounts and credit cards, it says that you must list any dormant bank accounts but it doesn't say that you have to list any "dormant" credit cards (yes I do have some!) should I list these with £0 balances or just leave them off do you think?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr these forms are doing my head in!

I'm filling the bit in about expenditure, Ive added stuff into the "details of other essential payments" and tried to save, it's telling me that this section can only contain 200 characters, so I started abbreviating a few things, still it wouldn't let me do it, I've cut and pasted the text into a word document and it's saying there are 188 characters WITH SPACES so why won't it let me save it??

I'm confused, I HATE THESE FORMS!

Might just call the court in the morning and ask for the paper forms what do you think?

  • Claire, you're not the only one to have issues with the space/character limits on the forms as a few people here have mentioned this too, so don't worry about it. :) I personally found the paper forms easier to deal with. You can ring the court for them, but you'd probably be better off downloading them yourself & printing them off. Apart from being quicker, the ones the courts send have sometimes been poorly photocopied. You can download them from here - forms 6.27 & 6.28. :)

I didn't have any dormant credit cards, so I just listed the ones where there was a balance on the account, even if I hadn't used them in ages. If the credit on those cards is still available to you, then I'd list them even with a £0 balance. A BR can't have credit of over £500 without declaring their BR status, & if you say nothing the OR might find out & then think you didn't say anything so that you could use the cards at a later date.

I'd put the car under the last one. You can explain on the form why you need to keep it (for your Dad) in the "Extra information" section, & also tell the OR when you see them. I didn't want to rely on having an interview with the OR, so I put any additional information I felt the OR should take into account in that section. That way there was a paper record of it, even if I didn't get to speak to the OR myself. :)
