OMG thats Fan-Flipping-Tastic!!
Yay paper you can write on!!
And not even had to make a phone call to get it - thanks again WDIAG!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
For any figures that you put down, how accurate do they have to be? I've found rough figures for creditors, but one of them was in December for £4600, I've had a letter from them recently but can't find it and think it said about £4750, if I put £4750 and put that it is approximate will this be ok?
And also cash in the bank/cash in hand, I'm not really going to know what this will be until the night before, is it ok to estimate??Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
And also its asking for dates incurred re my debts, is it ok to estimate these?Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

Claire, the OR will get everything needed direct from your creds. Don't worry just be as honest as you canBR 18 Oct 2006 Discharged 16 April 2007 :T0

Put down the latest figures you've got, but in brackets say "Dec 2006" or whatever the date is. As long as you give the account details & contact details for the creditor, the OR will be able to get the current figure for himself. You can say the figures are approximate/estimated.
As for your bank balance, I looked at what was there the week before, then worked out how much I needed to take out just before going BR. I then put the resulting balance on the form. The OR won't expect it to be exact, but as long as you haven't done something like say there's only £20 in the account when there's actually over £500, you should be OK. The OR has the right to get statements from your bank anyway, so if you say the figures are estimated you should be OK.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Thats great thanks so much for your help tonight, got loads done!! And now I'm going to the land of nod to dream of debt free days!
It's so strange, yesterday I was so wound up over it all and stressed, today I'm so chilled out and am actually in a weird kind of way looking forward to it all. It's when I start feeling unorganised that I start to stress.
Thanks again. Night Night! x xSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

Hope someone can help me with this:
Ive come to the bit on the forms where you list your creditors and its asking the reason for the debt
Got 2 major debts so Ive put debt consolidation which they were.
Got my vet fees so Ive put vets fees
got laser eye surgery fees so Ive put that
now there a few I'm stuck on what to put as my reason other than reckless spending including 3 overdrafts totalling £1400, and a credit card for £3000. Anyone know what I can put? One overdraft last year I can put as home improvements, theres one for £250 and one for £150 that Im really stcuk what to put? Then the credit card, I mean I cant explain it.........
Also, the 2 major debts I have just written debt consolidation, but they came from much smaller debts which were consolidated, then again and again and again, until I ended up with the big ones. Is this going to be questioned because in all honesty Ive had that many loans I cant remember what each one was for.

Hello anyone reading this,
well I haven't been posting much recently as 1) I've been on a well deserved holiday before BR to Cornwall (a £9.50 Sun holiday, first one I've been on and it was BRILLIANT!) and 2) I seem to have reached the end of filling in paperwork and feel pretty organised at the moment :-) I've even made a list of all my DD's and their phone numbers ready to call when I get my new bank details to set up direct debits from my new account. Feeling pretty calm about the whole thing now (this will only last until tomorrow when I'll more than likely be panicking and worrying and will post on here that my hair is turning grey with the stress)
I've just got a quick question. How long is it after you ve done the court thing before you get your OR interview, and do you get told when it will be?? I'm asking because I work full time and so will need to book the time off as I don't want to sit in my office discussing my finances (or lack of!) with the nosy gets I work with hovering round.
If they ring without making me aware of when it will be is it ok to tell them that you're at work and when a more convenient time will be?Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0
