I just felt like a name change at the time. I regret it slightly now, as it is a little confusing.

It was at first but then I read where you'd written "fermi on MSE" and then all became clear!

I was just curious that's all!

Hello all just have a quick question,

I pay £36 a month for my internet/tv package but am going to put this down at internet only and put £18 as I think they ll disallow it. What Im wondering is, does the OR go through your bank statements to check things like this? Because I pay by DD and it's there for all to see, £36 a month.

Should I change this? Not sure what to do for the best!

    Hi all.

Just wondering about this as well

I do actually keep most of my bank statements/bills/credit card statements etc, should I hand these to the OR do you think? I want to be as helpful as I can because I'm hoping it might help me get early discharge!

So should I hand them over or not?

If you don't hand them over the OR will get them from the bank anyway. As I always say, be open and honest.

Ill take them then and hand them over. What if I have a telephone interview? Will there be somewhere I can take them?

And what about the paying more for my internet than I'm putting down?

The OR will notice the payment for your cable/internet package. Your internet costs more than £18???

Re bank statements - the OR will ask you to provide them at some point - I had to post mine. Just have the paperworkready for when they ask for it; the OR will let you know when and how they would like to receive it.

My internet and TV costs £36 a month for both from Virgin.

What should I do about this? If I put £36 then Im sure this will be disallowed but I do need the internet for work purposes, if I put £18 down then they will see from the statements that it's more than that.

Really don't know what to do about this can anyone advise?

Claire, they might say that if you're using the internet for work purposes then work should be subsidising the cost of it. That's what they said to me about one of my courses, which is work-related. It was only when I pointed out that the whole basis of the course (ECDL) is that it's home study that they seemed to accept it on the phone. However, I didn't get a breakdown of what was allowed & what wasn't when they sent me details of my IPA, so even now I'm not sure whether they've allowed the whole cost or only part of it, or maybe none of it at all.
