I fail to see the relevance of her income she is not I, yes we do live together.
She is in an industry that forbids her information being used.0 -

You are a couple. You can only claim means tested benefits as a couple. That is the relevance - her income is counted in any benefit claim you make.0 -

Had you been employed and lost your job having paid sufficient type 1 NI then you would have been able to claim contribution based JSA for 26 weeks then you would be in the same boat
If you cannot use the information then I guess you cannot claim then she will have to support you.
Chances are, if she is in such an important position, you would probably not qualify for any benefits as a couple...eg WTC would be cut off at a joint income of around £18k0 -
Ohh crikey, her income is over 4 x that!0

It doesn't sound much of a partnership to me, sorry if that sounds harsh.
You are a couple living together and so are expected to support each other and on that salary she surely can.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I'm not sure what you mean by that, I work, walk, talk, drive etc etc unassisted. I don't generally consider my self disabled.
I have trouble working through mental illness but the only assistance there will be "self help"0 -

It's more a question of self respect, I don't wish to impose my self on her salary.
In any case I hadn't considered the 18k limit, I suspect I will still be over that even at the moment.0 -

You are getting over £18,000 and she earns over £70,000, that is not a low income even if only your money.
It's not a case of imposing, if the positions were reversed wouldn't you support her?
I really hope though that things pick up for you soon.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
