No, sadly nothing so exciting. It was a private office block car park behind the Novotel Hotel.
  • I live in a flat where NGP manage the car park, it is all very well saying ignore the parking tickets but do not park where you should not and you will not get a ticket. I am fed up of coming home from work and there is someone parked illegally in my parking space. there are plenty of notices explaining the parking rules and lots of visitor spots. Abide by the rules and you will not have a problem and forums like this encouraging people to ignore their fines do not help.

And ignorance like yours helps nobody!

These are not fines and there are plenty other ways to manage parking without resorting to extortion and threats!

They are not illegally parking as statute law doesn't cover the scams by parking companies, and they certainly ain't fines as grubby little parking companies like this can't issue them, if you look not even the police can issue fines, like councils they can issue penalties. Only the courts can fine people!

If you are so fed up buy a chain or parking post to protect your spot, I mean you protect your property by having locks on the doors, or are you fed up of burglars going into your property through unlocked doors ?? Shame you're Welsh as well, truly embarrassed by your ignorance in this.

As above they are not fines, private comanys and individuals do not have the authority to issue fines or penaltys.
As for the rules, if the rules are not legal, and do not comply with relavant legislation such as CPUTR then the rules are meaningless, and nothing more than optional requests.

Also by allowing a private parking company to infest a car park/area to which a body such as a management comittee is responsable for, that body ( ie management comittee) becomes legaly liable and responsable for the actions of their agents such as a private parking company (PPC)
Should this PPC do any thing 'wrong' such as cause harrasment by sending threat letters ( aka parking charge notices) to someone then the managemtn company/comittee may end up carrying the can for the actions of their agents.

So as you will see it is not parking illegally, but they do say ignorance is bliss. Maybe check your facts before lambasting people. This is especially advisable in a place where people have made it their business to know all the facts about this subject.

Which Parking Company do you work for then?! NGP in Cardiff by any chance? How about getting a proper job?

'Abide by the rules and you won't get a fine' 'NGP manage the car park' and 'illegally parked' indeed!

And NGP are hardly providing any service then if you have that much trouble still! :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
