Hi,
I went to a job interview in Cardiff today and parked in the their car park along the side of the road where other cars were parked. I saw some double yellow lines but made sure I didn't park on them. When I came back to my car from the interview I had a Parking Notice Enclosed envelope stuck to my windscreen with a Notice to Driver inside saying my car was parked in breach of the parking regulations onsite and that it has been photographed for evidence and is subject to a Parking Charge as per the terms of site. Please see contractual sinage for more information. Upon looking further i was indeed parked on double yellows but they were so faded you could barely see them and i hadn't noticed the signs. Do i have to pay them or can i ignore them like a lot of threads say? HELP!!!!

Thanks for starting this in a new thread, im asuming you have a private parking ticket - payament to the pakring company and not to the council?
Double yellow lines without legislation ( ie law) to back them up are meaningless, and this usualy applies to private land.
If you are the registered keeper, and tis not a hire/lease or vehicle owned by someone else, your best option now is to wait for the postman to deliver the threat - o- gram, that is if NGP contact the DVLA for registered keeper detials, and try chasing it up.
If it is your vehicle take a good read on here, and until the post arrives keep a low profile, that is dont disclose your name, address, location of ticket issue. From the Plain Language Commission:

Agreed, wait for the Notice to Keeper as long as that's you.
This pepipoo thread explains my advice on what comes next and why the 'ignore' advice changed recently:

I post as SchoolRunMum on there - saves me typing it out again here!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It isn't a charge from the council or police, it was on private land. I am the registered keeper. I haven't contacted ngp and don't plan too nor disclose any of my personal information. So it's not a case of just ignoring them indefinitely anymore? If I have to appeal am I likely to win and not end up with more charges or am I just better of paying within 7 days at a cost of £50.00 instead of £75.00 or even more after 28 days?! I don't know what to do for the best! Do I need to go back and take pics of the barely noticeable yellow lines?0

Read a few threads on here, honestly, appealing is the current advice for a fake PCN in England/Wales - and with help at the POPLA appeal stage you should win. Wait for the NTK, we know what we are doing here, you won't be paying.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad really appreciate the help. Bit worried cause I've not dealt with anything like this before and I've been really spurred on by things I've read on here but at the same time scared and tempted just to pay up and avoid any trouble. All the same I'll wait for the NTK and post back. :beer:0 -
Ignore all communications from the scummers...unless genuine court papers turn up.
It's easier than appealing and faffing on.0 -

Thanks Computersaysno. I have read alot of threads saying this as the even the new legislation isn't worth what it's written on but I still worry. Have you got personal experience with this sort of thing?0 -

No, he's a newbie who joined in February and keeps telling people to ignore which was the OLD advice.
Please just follow my advice (I don't normally say this but look at my joining date and number of posts!).
