I haven't been on for a while, hence my late post.

I've never had thios on this boiler, but it is VERY common on the Vokera Linea.

And yes, I've forgotten to release the pressure from the EV before undoing the connection.

I ended up looking like one of the Black & White Minstrels after all the water and gunk covered me :(

:pNope, it was sound, no leaks, and sound to most engineers means leaks, so more imporatantly DID you ACTUALLY MEAN blocked???;)coz you never said that:p

    The others DID:T

Course your likely to say yes now arent ya:D

    Semantics.
After several attempts to re pressure expansion vessel, you wudnt know it wasnt draining, the bladder was OK, and air pressure holding OK, hence the head scratching, and the persistant SV blow, loss of pressure and thinking the EV was OK
Shame it took you several trials to determine a blockage as it should have been immediately evident when you pumped up the EV and water wasn't displaced out of the PRV or drainoff.

Btw, common fault with this and other boilers. I guess you haven't been repairing boilers for long then?

Were you charging by the hour?:rotfl:

:TSour grapes ehh:T so so sad:p

;)If the boiler is drained before any filling of the EV bladder, AND as it was already at correct pressure and I only released it and repressured to check for any water which would indicte a leaky bladder, THAT blows your incorrect theory of it being "immediatly evident":ptry thinking about it a bit more;)
AND as its so common, how come you didnt get the answer:p

:rotfl:and i never charge myself:rotfl:I CANT AFFORD ME or the aquired knowledge of 45 years:rotfl:
AND i can take my own time to deal with my problems and arrive at the right outcome:p

Now as were talking "BLADDERS" seems you relieve yours to quickly, YOU CANT ALWAYS BE RIGHT CAN YOU CNH:p
