Phone call from Roxburghe

Options
At the beginning of the year I received a PCN from Euro Car Parks. I was parked in a retail park (in Scotland) with signs that say 'Free parking for 2 hours'. I was in a disabled bay and displaying a blue badge. I don't know if that matters though.
After reading information on this site I ignored it.
That was followed by letters from Roxburghe and Graham White. I ignored these too.
However this morning I got a phone call from Roxburghe. (I've tried to search the site to see if anyone else has mentioned phone calls but I didn't find anything)
I tried to say I had never been in the car park they mentioned but he said they have photographic proof. I tried to argue that even if I had the car park in mention is free. He asked me if I was going to pay the charge and I said no. He was typing away and said he was adding that information to my file and that they will now go ahead with proceedings.
Has anyone else had phone calls? does this mean they are going to take me to court?

In a word, no. It just means that they're running out of ways to bully you into paying up.

Is Roxburghe still under investigation by the OFT, who "are minded to revoke their licence"? If so, then I'm sure that they'd appreciate being reminded of this.

What exactly do they say that you did wrong in order to earn the right to be scammed?
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

Yep, all the people in all of the other threads on here about it, this is what a search would have found (not sure how you couldn't find any):

No! But it means you could take them there for damages for harassment!

Honestly just let the link load (same as you'd get if you'd searched the parking forum for keywords 'Roxburghe phone calls' using the 'search this forum' button and changing the default to 'show posts'). Read what people have said, this is easy to knock on the head with certain words to spit at them next time they call.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How did they get your phone number?

Roxburghe have no power over you and cannot issue proceedings against you. Don't let them intimidate you.

ECP tried a claim last year and got trounced. Not sure if ECP have ever made a successful claim at all.

They have the OP's name and address (from the DVLA?), so unless the OP is ex-directory, getting their telephone number would be easy...

I was 10 mins over the time limit. But since I was in the shop buying a bed when I stayed that 10 mins over in their free carpark I thought £70 was a bit steep lol

I've tried using the 'search' button now, don't know why I never seen it. :rotfl: Do apologise!

I'll have to take note of some things to say to them should they phone again.

Thanx for the help, I appreciate it.

If another call tell them what you have to say, over them if necessary, firmly and very very clearly and then put the phone down/off. If they ring again after THAT its harassment. Then you can report them!

Ask them to prove that you were driving the vehicle, in Scotland you don't need to identify yourself as the driver, and they can't hold the RK responsible as it may not be them driving. They are then stuffed ;) also euro will not take you to the sherrifs court, they can't get things right south of the border, they got no chance up north.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
